Still a better than average nba player but can no longer play at the level he and everyone expects. Alot of people who have ripped him for continuing to play are people who never played at a high level of sports and/or been around those players and don't understand the mentality of such players. You can't rip a guy for wanting to keep playing. Shaq even tbe last three seasons, was far more impactful than jordan in his last years in washington. Not to mention that shaq isn't making multiple retirement speeches and comming back. Jordan, farve retirements were for attention when they weren't getting as much on tbe court/field. I'm glad shaq is hanging it up but he's doing it for the right reasons.

There is a reason Jordan played like he did in Washington. He really wanted to develop the team not carry the team. He could still play a little like the Jordan of old as was shown with his 55 point game. It was a different situation trying to get youn ones to step up and he was like an on court mentor."Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry" -Dr. David Banner

The guy is great and all and I have no hate for him but it's time for him just lay back, relax, and enjoy all the money he got

When he was young he was a beast, i still remember him pulling down backboards, Shaq and Penny were a nasty combo as well
then the fat years came with the lakers when his pure talent took over and he wasn't in shape and got by because of his god given talent....it was sick
i still think he was very annoying whenever he spoke, espn and espn radio praises him for being funny and fun loving, but it got on my nerves whenever he spoke or tried to act funny

Most dominant Center of all time. The main reason the Lakers won all those titles.
