    Dirk Novitzki

Kobe used to be the best but Dirk crushed him this year. Have to say Dirk.

You mean NoWitzki, pronounced with a w as well, not a V. Dirk took a giant step this year as far as taking his game to the next level but he isn't the BEST player in the NBA. I'M a huge dirk fan and insanely happy for the mavs and him who I've rooted for my whole life even when a bad team. The only reason I was down on their chances against miami was because regardless of what many idiots are saying now and evaluating players off one series, Miami still has two of the top three players in the NBA in Wade and Lebron. People can try and trash Lebron all they want for this last series, but the fact is he is still one of the top three players in the league. The people who want to try and say he isn't, aren't people of a high IQ and/or are the type that are just out to hate on the guy and do so without any legit reason for saying such. Lebron didn't have a great series, FOR LEBRONS STANDARDS or those been set by the blinded fan, but for 90 percent of anyone in the league, 18 points, 7 assists, 8 rebounds for a finals series would be considered exceptional. Now, if you want to get on him bout the 4 quarters of games, thats fine and warranted but that has to do with things that have NOTHING to do with his basketball skill set which is still easily tops in the league. Dirk is in top 5 status now I believe but hes not a better player than wade or bron despite Dirk being my favorite player to play the game. Remember, miami possibly dosent get close to the finals without Lebron.

I would love to get into your head and figure out how you can start dogging on lebron for having a difficult finals and talk bout how horrible you think he is and then turn around and even attempt to say Kobe is the best player in the league? He couldnt even get his team one win in the 2nd round? He couldn't make any shots down the stretch of the games when lakers were ahead and hold off the mavs for ONE GAME. He/lakers got swept and in the processes showed how poor of losers they are. If you still want to believe kobe is the best thats fine, but to try and take this finals to throw lebron to the bottom and somehow give kobe the best in league title, you make yourself look really ignorant.

How is Dirk Nowitzki not the best, he jsut beat LEbron? And he crushed Kobe. Kobe is nowhere near the best now,but Dirk Noeitzki is number 1.

And Tony Romo would be # 2 if he played basketball.

    Kobe is still the best.
Durrant is quickly getting closer and closer.
Lebron is the most athletic as well as most explosive, but not the best player skill wise. Kobe still has that title. Wade is up there as well.
