I'll start...LOL!!! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a product horror!

What do you recommend using to combat the signs of early aging and to get rid of the dark pigment caused from acne scarring?

First Topic I would like to discuss: WATER!
Do not underestimate H2O, it is the most important ingredient for healthy skin. I'm not talking about when you soak in the tub for 25 minutes and then see your fingers becoming all "prune" like. I'm talking about keeping the LARGEST ORGAN OF YOUR BODY hydrated from the inside out. Everyone knows that drinking water has countless benefits for our bodies, but did you know that the main component of your skin IS water. Staying consistently hydrated is the best thing you can do for your skin. (And sunscreen, but that's a very large and separate topic.)
I was once asked that you wouldn't just spray a plant with water to keep it alive, would you? Of course not! You HAVE to water the roots to nourish the plant from the inside out. Just as we humans have to do.
The human body is made up of between 56% to 80% water, depending on factors such as fat percentage, age & sex. It is recommended to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, I seriously recommend more. The more the better. When you aren't drinking enough water, your body will let you know. You body may send you signals with symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, muscle weakness or cramps, headaches, dizziness, nausea, forgetfulness, confusion, deep rapid breathing, or an increased heart rate. But when it comes to your skin, you will notice the skin around your finger nails becoming dry and break or an ash like effect when you scratch your arm or leg. This is a sign of consistent dehydration. Beautiful, supple skin always starts with water. So drink it up, everyday for a healthy mind, a healthy body and great skin!!

There are lots of ways to combat the signs of early aging. First and foremost, sunscreen! This is the #1 key that can come into play for your skin to look & stay youthful, longer. Sun damage causes most of our wrinkles and those darn "age spots" known as hyper pigmentation. I recommend a great skin care regiment. I'm quite partial to BioElements myself. I've seen and felt what the product line does to my skin, but have a licensed professional in your area give you a skin analysis to determine your skin type and/or any skin conditions you may have; then ask what products they recommend to help improve your skin.
Hydroquinone is used as a topical application in skin whitening to reduce the color of skin. While using hydroquinone as lightening agent can be effective with proper use, it can also cause skin sensitivity. Using a daily sunscreen with a high PPD (persistent pigment darkening) rating reduces the risk of further damage. Hydroquinone is sometimes combined with alpha hydroxy acids that exfoliate the skin to quicken the lightening process. My mother used this for a little while and is worked very well to diminish a few of her dark spots.
Always wash your face before you go to bed. NO MAKEUP should be left on your face over night. Makeup isn't "good" for the skin at any rate, so sleeping with in on your face is a no-no. Wash your face with a proper cleanser that has been recommended to you by a professional, then toner, moisturizer, and an eye cream is highly recommended. If you feel the need to wash your face again in the morning, just splash some water on your face & pat dry. Never wash your face with HOT or COLD water as this can cause broken capillaries. A luke warm water is just fine to get the job done. Exfoliate at least 2 but no more than 3 times a week.
