Hello scooby, my name is Kay. Im from some where in Asia.
Brief intro abt myself, im 18 years old, going on 19, 100% natural.
Training seriously about 2 years now planning for my first ever show come Oct 16. Need to come in absolutely shredded.
Just came off a short cutting cycle and bulking at the moment now, layne norton style.
Current stats are 177cm and 74kg / 162 lbs. Probably around 158-160 in pics when i was cutting for a bit.
My current plan now is to bulk a little bit more till the end of july, then start my diet at the beginning of august. Which gives be about 10 weeks to Oct 16. Is that a wise idea?
How many weeks out do i look from my pics? i think i also have trouble getting the stubborn fat on my lower back and lower abs off... as ive never dieted down and seen myself shredded before..
thanks for all your help appreciate it.
peace.

Hi Scooby, i have a question about training for a natural female athlete (planning to eventually compete in figure). What type of training split do you think works best? Some advocate training body parts twice per week, some once per week, or every 5 days etc. Would like to hear your opinion.

you WONT gain any significant muscle from a bulk for one month, but you certainly could accumulate 3-4 lbs of fat that will take another 2-3 weeks to diet off.
My advice if you really want to compete, and an argument could be made for training longer to get thicker, but who am I to tell you to wait, is to start your diet now, just start with a surplus of cals but keep it very clean see how your body reacts then you can start high and finish low.
Its just one month wont do much in terms of adding truly new muscle.
Good Luckwww.scoobyprep.com

If i can get in shredded, something which ive never done before, i think i stand a pretty good chance.. considering im competing in the teens division. however since the bb community in my country is like so small, there isnt such a thing as tested vs untested shows, so you'll never know who will show up.. thats why i have to come in with my best conditioning..
anyway i shall take your advice, i'll start eating cleaner and have my cals in surplus, while carb cycling, (lower carbs on non training days) and see how it goes.

Jason,
Working with a natural client, how would you like to see Glutamine implemented into ones plan?
Prior to fasted morning cardio if doing so?
Immediately following traning before post workout cardio?
Before bed?
Do you feel these are key times to supplement glutamine in likes to preserve muscle? Say 3-5g a hit....
