Please help with Keto Diet
I have been following Daves Keto diet perfectly for 8 days and just cannot seem to kick into Ketosis. The only differences to his diet i am using is a Whey protein and not an Isolate as they are very hard to get in South Africa. Everything else is perfect but i have not had the bad breath, urine changes or seen much body changes. I know its early but please could you help.
I am also on Roacutane, could that be limiting me going into Ketosis ??

you do not need or WANT TO be that deep in ketosis. you will lose muscle...
If anything if your in trace, your good.. if not, your still fine. there is fasting ketosis and ketosis, for BB ing purposes you do not need to be in that state to lose fat...

I'm taking in 2 1/2 cups of broccoli every day on keto. I was wondering if it would be okay to drop the broccoli and substitute it with fiberlyze? Or should I keep the veggies and add fiberlyze on top of that...dont know when I should take it lol

Hey,
Thank you for your response. Ive been on the diet now for 3 full weeks and lost plenty. I think i was too focused on urine changes and falling in ketosis i wasnt watchign the changes. I am much leaner. Ive narrowed the diet down and increased the cardio alot. I still dont have my abs out yet but i dotn feel they far away.
I do have the dry mouth in the mornings which isant nice but worth it.
Ive checked the whey protein and i dont see any listed sugar unless it has another technical name ???
I was worried it was the Roacutane which is to clean a skin defect but i have since lost a lot of fat since this original post. 5 weeks to go

The sticks are useless. With that weight loss you are obviously in ketosis. Keep doing what you're doing and don't waste your time with the sticks.

JD is right.. you dont really need them, if you go to purple, you will lose muscle... or if you really want to use them get into TRACE, but no lower.. that is the magic....
if your under 100g of carbs your in ketosis bro...

Hey guys,
So quick update, im on week 5 and it seems since the end of week 3 i havent lost anything. In fact it feels ive put on a bit. Nothing on the diet has changed, im doing more cardio and im so dispondent right now about it.
Any suggestions

where are you at in the diet? week 1 or 5 or ???
no cheats until 2 weeks... when starting..
unless your under 10% i would not have big cheats..
I increase them the deeper you get on the diet..
works like a charm...
