find a diet consisting of foods you like and adjust quantities until you find your maintenance calories, keep it there and increase calories and protein slightly if you gain muscle..

Always want the easy way eh? No such thing. Well, some people do have great abs genetically, I have to keep cardio 30-40mins 6x a week and carb cycle.
You can still be big w/ abs not necessarily skinnyTraining / Prep / Off-season coach: Kevin McDowell / Extreme One

I would like to maintain something where u feel great taking ur shirt off at anytime u know?
not just looking good for summer or contest type thing.
I dont like keto because i grapple and like being strong and i dont think anyone would disagree keto is optimal for sports or strength.
so goal is to be lean. visible abs year round and full and big.

May not be keto, but you're damn well gonna have to get some diet to suit you. I'd suggest carb cycling. Eat for what you're about to do and for what you just did! Check out this article: http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_..._cycling_codex

The only thing i have found to work for me is eating just slightly above maintenance, like 200 calories tops above. You have to make sure that you are hypernutrient though, so everything should come from clean ass sources, give your body enough of the right macros at the right times and you'll grow and stay lean. Juice helps.
If you are only going to go 200 above and you decide to eat crap at the wrong times you'll prob make zero gains and still get fat.

I have found that keto only works for some.. not all.. so, there is no set in stone tablet for ones individual metabolic/chemical make up. You have to experiment & find out how your body will react... I have gained13lbs of solid quality lean mass...in just 2mo's. Ive never gone above 8%bf..

Right on the money, I have learned that I cannot just choose a diet and run with it, I am an endo and last year I used Daves bulk diet for my weight and I got fat ass fuck again, I am going to add 200 calories to my diet and see how I adjust, if that works well I will add another and on until I get to a calorie intake that is solid for lean muscle gains without getting fat.
