this event can suck if you don't setup properly. this is not like a normal deadlift. more like a squat or a trap bar pull

michael burke with a clavicle injury is standing tall. warren up and down in about 20 seconds. 65 seconds for burke.
dunn and foemmel up. carl lane #2, brad lane #1. timer starts and they are up. both men staring into the ground and not moving. the occasional breath. brad drops first. carl should be our new leader. and yes, he goes more than 73 seconds.
I am told the weight is closer to 750lbs from the original 600lbs reported previously.

ostlund and weech. tall vs short. dave in the zone. scott looks like he is struggling already. scott drops first. dave still standing tall. a top 3 finish here should solidify him for second in the over all. he drops it at 66.85.
up next urbank and ortmayer. both great deadlifters, this should be fun to watch.

Urbank looks like a juiced leprechaun. He is a beast. Only man I've ever seen load a 330 stone without ever touching them before. And he was probably 70-80 lbs lighter then.

finishing set up and placing stones onto each mat. remember, the stone must make it on the platform and stay on the platform. if it comes off, it has to be re placed.
