Another thing i want to add in bodybuilding naturally is a long process so you pretty much have to love the process to stay consistent. For me it's fun, each time i work out i try and improve apon the last time so there's always little goals to reach. if i just went in and worked out and said ok one of 280 work outs this year to put on a total of 5 pounds of muscle at the end i'd say fuck that and quit.

It's not like body building on steroids where you can go from a tiny skinny little kid to a complete monster in 2 years like i've seen many times.

Well not to get off topic, but I reckon even if we were from a village in the middle of nowhere, there's something in our make up to want to be the big strong dominant alpha male. Just look at the animal kingdom, every male wants to be the leader of the pack, which means being the biggest and strongest.

Anyway, yeah you've definitely got to enjoy the process. I love lifting, it's just the eating that I don't like. Personally, I prefer eating less food, especially less carbs, so actually enjoy contest dieting! It's a struggle for me to get food down me to grow, so it only adds to my frustration not seeing visible growth.

Just to add to that, it feels like the fitness industry had definitely deceived us! And it also makes sense why there's often more emphasis on getting ripped and toned rather than on muscle growth - getting ripped is actually achievable and you can have visible results in weeks!

Humans are different though, typically the leader of tribal groups are older wise people not who's most muscular and what not. for animals it's typically the biggest and the strongest survive, with humans intellect is far more important for success then muscles. Not to mention if we're talking survival in a fighting situation all the 5'6''-5'9'' body builders would get eatten alive by 6'2''-6'5'' athletes. if you watch MMA or other combat sports you'll see that frame size is more valuable then muscularity.

It is possible to keep making gains...after 4 solid years of getting in the gym, I've made pretty decent gains naturally. The main thing that I see is when my friends workout for a few years (1-3 years), then surprisingly convince themselves that they've reached their 'genetic potential.' I can't help but laugh about it. I've been lifting for over 10 years altogether...and I'm NOWHERE near my genetic potential...but that's just me.

Keep learning your body, keep making changes and you'll see the gains. It definitely won't be 15-40lbs in a year, like the guys on gear, but if your training, nutrition and lifestyle is on point then 5-10lbs of solid gains a year is really good!

to add to that, if you're on gear, and your training and nutrition suck, then don't expect a miracle from what you're shooting up because IT WON'T HAPPEN

Yep that's why i think it's a good idea for guys to really learn what works for them while natural with training and diet before considering juice. Juice is very dangerous and it's a big decision to be made, so if one is going to do that they might as well know there bodies really well to make the best gains possible.

fuck this natty nonsense. just juice up. not saying you need to
go crazy, but just a little bump. what if it was just known as
a supplement and not steroids and they sold it at GNC.
would you try a little then? dont give me the health debate,
i'm just talking a tiny bit for an extra edge. just as safe as
    using protein powder.

Yes, it's possible - better be patient and be in it for the long haul because it will take a while.

i tend to agree with this...

i spent the last 7 years seriously training as a natty. from 25yrs/o to 32...

i have average to low genetics, but my training for the last 7 has been on point, my diet has been good & i even quit drinking, apart from the odd occassion, when i was 27.

i gained very well in the first 3, but put on a lot of BF "just trying to get huge" when i did my first diet, it was quite a mindfuck to go from 210 to 155...

ive been progressing slowly for the last 4 years, but no where as quickly as the first 3...

i think i remember BLP saying something like, "become a big natural 15 yrs hard work"...yeah, that sounds about right to me....

i think, for me, bodybuilding was kinda like pro wrestling, it took a long time to realise that it was all an act, that it was all staged... and it was kinda crushing to my spirit... same thing learning that BBing is all just drugs at the end of the day (being that training/diet/recovery are equal) some peeps just cant handle that.... but i think its the truth...

so how bad do you want it? u wanna be bigger, leaner, meaner? how quickly u wanna get there? one thing i have learned is that having a solid base of quite a couple of years under the bar before stepping into drugs is a valuable thing.....

but the time will come for you all where you fac e the decision of taking up the drugs or not, no matter who you are or how far along you are in your training, that day will come when you consider using...

& what will your answer be?

i know what mine was... funnily enough, if youd asked me it 4 years ago, heck even two years ago... it might have been very different...

    tick tock....
