    Ive always counted any amino supp that was a complete protein so I was just curious your take on Gear. I think when I run out of my current aminos I am going to give Gear a shot.

    Why not? Aminos = protein = 4kcal/g

    5g of BCAA = around 20 calories.

    There is an amino chart somewhere that list the actual calorie value for each amino acid

    yeah i know, i just never cared to much to add the calories from the bcaa's or gear, i don't count them towards anything, not calories or protein content

    As long as you are taking in the same amount each day it really wouldnt matter. I dont count BCAAs but I take the same amount each day.

    I think if your not cutting there is no need to count them as its basically just extra money in the bank. However i do believe they caloric value therefor if you are cutting or on a strict diet like a contest prep it would probably be prudent to count them in your daily macros.

    I usually don't add calories from bcaa's never really considered the numbers from them significant, i guess they could have their merit of being counted for contest prep if you want to be SUPER accurate but IMO a small amount of calories shouldn't make or break a prep unless you are wayyyyy off! Gear is great stuff i throw a few in with 2-3 meals a day to improve the effectiveness of my protein intake!

    I am going to start stocking up so I can use it during my next contest prep. Knowing my luck it would be out of stock when I needed it so Im gonna get it while I can!

    thats what i did last winter.....i was bulking and getting enough food...so i'd just buy a bottle per month and stash it

    I did that too and had a nice stash going but then ended up trading em all and of course that was right aboout the time they went oos... Now i gotta start all over, lol..
