Maintenance calories held me at 175. Bumped to 2,840 cals/day. First real workout in a seriously looong time.
Curls
Triceps extensions
Machine bench press
Seated rows
Pulldowns
Leg press
^^^ all machines, all 3 sets x pyramid

Calorie surplus of 500, trying to eat 2840 cals per day, 30% carbs, 40% fat, 30% protein.
Most days I’m high on carbs, though.

added in machine overhead press, but my right rotator is fairly well trashed. Using very light weight.
Leg press

Curls, triceps, chest, back (pulldowns and rows), all on the machines in the 30-minute circuit room. One set, light weight to failure at 20-40 reps, and one set at much heavier for 10-12 reps.
Had just watched this video by Jerry Brainum...
Super setted bis and tris, machine chest press and rows, and pulldowns and presses.
My overhead press on the machines was heavier the second set but I wasn’t pushing it (literally) because of my rotator cuff being iffy.
Leg press was one plate, two plates, two plates plus 25, then three plates each side for 10-rep sets.

This time? Same exercises (well, the plate-loaded leg press was taken, so I did my reps on the Life Fitness selectorized gizmo.) but 60-100 reps with no rest. I did 20 reps on curls, light weight, immediately added 30 lbs. and did ten more reps, dropped 10 lbs., 20 more reps, etc.
Same for the other movements except machine overhead presses. I used caution or babied my sore right rotator.

Cardio tonight was treadmill set on fat burn. Max heart rate set at 110 bpm for my age and weight. 175 calories estimate over one mile in 20 minutes.
