Nice. I've never pursued any jobs in comics. I can draw a recognizable Spider-Man but it's nothing like what appears in Marvel's books.

But you were talking Doom Patrol and DC...

^That's just a great cover. So much nostalgia just looking at it. I loved the ten and twelve-cent DC comics. I don't remember that cover but my uncle had hundreds of Superman, Action, Adventure, Superboy, and more in a big grocery box.

Those comics really put the fire or desire to learn to read in me immediately!

    LMAO

You hear that joke about Superman in the bar in some skyscraper? I forget how it goes exactly, but...

he's in his Clark Kent guise and is drinking. Starts up a conversation with another guy in the bar and mentions how there's an incredible updraft outside the building.

The guy doesn't get it and so Clark demonstrates by stepping out of the window and falling several stories but then gently rising back to the window. He does it several times, convincing his fellow drinker that it's safe to try such a stunt.

He jumps and, of course, goes splat.

The bartender turns to the one waitress and says, "Man, that Superman is one mean drunk."

I know I have that joke wrong. He's Clark Kent so why would the bartender mention Superman? And if he's Superman then the other drinker wouldn't jump, right?

I'm pretty sure the punchline is that the guy is Superman. You're not supposed to mention it beforehand. Joke fail.

I don't remember exactly how it goes; it starts out as just two guys sitting at a bar. One guy walks on air a few times and convinces the other guy to crawl out the window and try it. 2nd guy dies, 1st guy goes back to bar. Barkeeper say, "Geez, Superman, you're a mean drunk."

I guess somehow either the barkeeper knows Clark Kent is Superman or the drunk guy doesn't recognize the costume.

I guess somehow either the barkeeper knows Clark Kent is Superman or the drunk guy doesn't recognize the costume.
Yeah, I see how I douched up a perfectly good joke.

You see the addition to the journal list there?

Hah, thanks man. I would actually understand if you didn't include it since I post in it about once every two weeks.

^Nothing since November 3rd. That's two weeks off as of tomorrow!

Starting back with a routine I ran before. Thanks for asking, Shadow.

    November 2007 to April 2008:
Jay Cutler workout program from his book CEO Muscle

    Weight Training: Four-on/One-off

    Day 1: Chest & Triceps
    Exercise Sets Reps
    Barbell bench presses 3x8-10
    Incline barbell bench presses* 3x8-10
    Flat bench dumbbell flyes 3x8-10
    Close-grip bench presses 3x8-10
    Lying cambered bar extensions 3x8-10
    Straight bar cable pushdowns 3x8-10

*Every other workout, alternate incline barbell presses with incline dumbbell presses.

    Day 2: Back and Biceps*
    Exercise Sets Reps
    Pulldowns 3x8-10
    Seated cable rows 3x8-10
    Dumbbell rows 3x8-10
    Standing barbell curls 3x8-10
    Alternating dumbbell curls** 3x8-10

*Since cable rows, one-arm db rows, and bent-overs work a lot of the biceps, you don't need a lot of additional biceps work.
**Dumbbell curls can be done either standing or seated. Alternate from week to week between the two.

    Day 3: Legs
    Exercise Sets Reps
    Leg extensions 3x8-10
    Squats 4x8-10
    Leg curls 3x8-10

Day 4: Shoulders, Traps, Abs, & Calves
    Seated dumbbell overhead press 3x8-10
    Seated dumbbell lateral raises 3x8-10
Bent-over rear lateral raises 3x8-10 (or)
    Reverse peck-deck lateral raises 3x8-10
    Barbell shrugs 5x8-10
    Seated calf raises 3x8-12
    Standing calf raises 3x8-12
Ab crunches on a bench 3x12-15
Hangling leg raises (knees bent) 3x12-15

For each bodypart, shoot for a total of 9 sets, 8 to 10 reps per set.

For the first exercise of each workout, do 2 additional warm-up sets of 12 to 15 reps using a lighter weight.
