    NOT my doing. In fact, my membership expired last month.

    They no longer offer their $100 for a year deal. Switched it to $199 for 18 months. I'm paying $20/month for Gold's. The extra $8.25/month for an occasional PF workout was worth it.

    I may renew at some point, but I'm not interested right now.

    Last's Mrs. will enjoy herself. And she has her hubby to keep her on the right path in spite of all the purple. :-)

    I actually pay $15 but my membership allows me to use any Gold's in the world, where the $10 one restricts members to the one gym they signed up at.

    Curt not trying to be a dick but why do you deadlift?

    You are not a PLer. I assume with your frame they are a bitch to do. An injury waiting to happen IMO.
    But hey, if you do them cause you enjoy them, then go for it.
    I'd rather see you do racks from just above the knees.

    Deadlifts are an awesome lift.

    And, hey, you're right. I'm not a powerlifter, not a bodybuilder, not a Strongman competitor, not an arm wrestler. I'm a guy who lifts weights.

    Plus with my structure (eight-mile long arms, short as hell legs -- I can make a 32" inseam work at a height of 6'1" -- and wide hips), deads are my strongest lift. I can't bench for #### and the most I've ever squatted was 270 lbs. and that with pretty poor form.

    So, why do I deadlift? Because it's a great compound movement. And the only time I had an injury with it in my life was several years back doing 5x5 with 295 lbs. My personal best is a horribly round-back sloppy form 365 as a 20something.

    $15/m for a Gold's membership that's good anywhere in the world? Wow.

    Twenty seems cheap. I'd feel guilty asking the guy to lower my fee. I guess if I'm ever living in a cardboard box I'll ask the owner for an adjustment. Maybe work part-time there in return for a membership.

    I pay $25....but there's only one Armbrust Pro Gym...and honestly, it's probably the best 'real' gym I've ever been to. It's worth every dollar.
