For those of you who saw my first thread asking if "natural bodybuilding is even possible", this kind of ties in with that. I've been doing a little research into the topic of what kind of muscular gains are realistically possible without the use of drugs.

I came across this article, very interesting read:

http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/mus...potential.html

Sadly, this kind of backs up the opinion that besides the initial gains experienced in the beginner stages of bodybuilding, there really isn't much more to come. I really hate to sound negative and this thread is probably going to annoy a lot of people, but at the same time you can't just bury your head in the sand and convince yourself that if you keep training hard and eating you will eventually magically grow. Would like to hear others opinions on this.

Cheers.

Additionally, kind of interesting that apparently what Steve Reeves was saying years ago backs this up (http://www.bodybuildingsecrets.com/a...asurements.php). Also, apparently Mike Mentzer stated that within 2 years you normally reach your genetic potential, which would also back this up.
