HOF=Hester
Admittedly, I am an unrepentant Bears fan but I believe that Devon Hester
is the best kick returner in NFL history. Although many frown on specialist,
ie punter and kickers, making the HOF, I believe they are game changers.
The question is does a kick returner deserve to make the HOF? I await
your responses.

Would he be the first? His record is pretty awesome and I wouldn't mind seeing him in, but there's probably more deserving folk.

Well I think the current policy is bogus anyway. Punters and Kickers SHOULD be elected to the hall of fame. Adam Vinatieri should be in the HOF on the first ballot as should Morton and Gary Anderson, and Dave Jennings.
I'd love to see Devon get his due. He's the closest thing to Gayle Sayers to hit Chicago. And his story is still being written, and he's a very good overall weapon.

Jan Stenerud got in the HOF as a kicking specialist so it can be done but for some reason it seems to be held against the player.It doesn`t make sense to me because if a player dominates his position for an extended period of time he should be a Hall Of Famer.Ray Guy comes to mind as he can`t get in but was the best punter for a generation.Hester I believe now holds the record for touchdowns on returns and should get at least a few more as he is still young.His name is out there a lot too so that will help.I think he will get in when the time comes.

As a Bears fan as well, I would love to see Hester in the Hall of Fame.
I think it will happen one day. With him holding both kick and punt return records (he's tied for one of them, i forget which though) everytime he gets the ball in that situation he is setting new standards. Definitely deserving of the hall of fame.
