I got one of these, but whenever I tried to cook marinated meat (I marinate my chicken breasts and steaks in olive oil, lime and cayenne pepper), the meat would always stick to the pan/ burn/ smoke up the kitchen. I even sprayed the pan with Pam. I have an electric stove and set the temp to 8 (on 1-10 range).

Lol. I will teach you the trick grasshopper. Don't set the heat too high. I hate electric, but I'd go with about a 6 on there. Cook it until you get the grill marks on each side. Turn the broiler on and toss the whole pan in there for about 3-4 minutes on high heat. Pull it out and throw a thermometer in that bitch to make sure it's cooked to ur preferred temp. I got so good at it I would never eat a steak anywhere but my house.

I like em rare, so max oven temp, on top of the coil (or right under it) check every 5 mins, once it looks cooked on the outside, I take it off right away. (Don't cook steaks on aluminum foil, ever)

1" thick steaks though, thin are gonna cook much faster.

Frying pan is good too...same method.

Yep. No less than 1" steak. Top rack. My broiler has two settings high and low, so I put my cast pan in after cooking it a bit on high broil for 3-4 mins.

ok so pan frying it over cooked it.

baking it at 350 for 15 minutes; a little pink inside but still to tough

will broiling make it soft? or should i beat my meat ?

What heat setting did you use in the pan? Sounds like you had too much heat for too long.
