Overall my high hopes were shattered with the amount of correct reviews on this product. I would have to rank this down the line of the new Talenti flavors offered due to the lack of mix-ins, the weak swirl, and a very original vanilla base. If Talenti decided to up the amount of mix-ins like their Sea Salt Caramel, and use a better swirl like found in Southern Butter Pecan this may be a hit. Overall I was digging for Cookie dough and a good swirl, but found not much of either. Stick to Hazelnut Chocolate Chip & Salted Peanut Caramel in the new flavors if you are looking for a better offering.

Recipe


Dry:
1 Scoop Cinnamon Swirl Cor Performance Whey (34g)
1 Serving MyOamteal.com PB Lean SnickerDoodle (12g)
1 Serving SF/FF Pudding Mix Vanilla (8g)
½ Cup Cooked Rice (70g)


Wet:


4oz Libby’s Pumpkin (100g)
5oz Greek Yogurt (150g)
1 Serving Ricotta Cheese (62g)


Topping/Filling:
None




Directions


Cook Rice on stovetop or from plastic package bought in store. Take out what is needed (I used ½ serving of the White/Basmanti Packaged Rice). Set aside and let it cool.


Combine all dry in a bowl (Whey, SF/FF Pudding mix, PB Lean), once the rice is cooled add that last to the bowl.


Combine all wet in a separate bowl (Ricotta Cheese, Pumpkin, and Yogurt). Combine the wet into the dry and mix with a spoon or whisk until batter like consistency is formed.


Allow the rice pudding to sit in the fridge for 60-120 minutes (1-2 hours), and allow this to thicken up. You can even allow this to sit overnight or store in Tupperware containers for portable on the go snacks/meals!

Overall this was a hit from first bite to the last bit of ice cream at the bottom of the pint. Romolo's famous Sponge Candy infused into a well executed vanilla ice cream base was done right. If you have never tried sponge candy it is a must to try. Chocolate that melts in your mouth with a nice crunchy center. This pint did not lack sponge candy mix-ins, and they were heavy throughout the pint in good portions. It started to remind me of eating Graeter's Chocolate chips, but much softer in nature.

Overall this was a good pint, but would be great if the base was a bit better. While the Peanut Butter flavor was not something as good as what Graeters (Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, Buckeye Blitz) or Ben & Jerry's has to offer (PB cookie Core, Peanut Butter Cup, PB World) it was still above average. The key aspect were the copious amounts of chocolate and pretzel mix-ins. With nearly every single bite you get a sweet and salty pretzel compliment, or a rich chocolate piece. Combining chocolate, peanut butter, and pretzels is an incredible mixture of flavors, and Romolo's did a great job with their peanut butter pretzel offering.

Recipe

Dry:
1 Scoop Cellucor Cinnamon Swirl Cor-Performance Whey (34g)
Dash Cinnamon (3g)
Dash Baking Powder (3g)
Dash Salt
6 Slices Bread (Low-Calorie/Carb)
1/4^th Cup Splenda (6g)
1 Serving SF/FF Pudding Mix (8g)

Wet:
2 Egg Whites
¾ Cup Milk (200g)
1/3 Cup Pumpkin (100g)
Dash Vanilla Extract

Topping/Filling:
None!



Directions

1) Pre-heat oven to 350.

2) Spray a 6x6 or 9x9 pan with cooking spray and set aside.


3) Tear the bread into small chunks and place in the pan.

4) In a separate large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients. (Whey, SF/FF Pudding Mix, Cinnamon, Baking Powder, Splenda)


5) Take all wet ingredients and combine in a mixing bowl (Egg Whites, Milk, Pumpkin, and Vanilla Extract). Use a stand up mixer or hand mixer to blend together.

6)Pour the mixture over the top of the bread.

7) Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Test with a toothpick to ensure no fluids/liquid residue left.

8)Allow bread pudding to cool for 20-30 minutes and then place in the fridge to sit for at least 4-6 hours (or overnight)

9) Enjoy!
