Salt & Straw Cinnamon SnickerDoodle
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...-snickerdoodle
Simple on paper and executed very well. My first Salt & Straw experience was a good one. Being a big fan of snicker doodle cookies this really hit the spot. A dense, delicious, and cinnamon packed ice cream filled with fresh snicker doodle cookies. You can't ask for more if you love cinnamon and cookies. They put both elements together to pair a permanent flavor on their lineup. Adding in a Cinnamon Swirl (think Turkey Hill) or a Sugary swirl (like in Steve's Coffee and Donuts) would of put this one over the top.

Salt & Straw Salted Caramel Cupcake
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...aramel-cupcake
There is not too much else to say about this pint but it was epic from start to finish. If you love cupcakes you will be upset you missed out on this experience. The base is good, but its hard to really gauge due to how many mix-ins you really get. The frosting and cupcake chunks really pack a thick buttercream and chocolate flavor to the sweet cream base. Not only do you get mix-ins packed to the brim and your very last bite, you virtually eat a few of them in a pint of ice cream. For someone who has a vicious sweet tooth I was in heaven.

S’mores Chip Ahoy:
Being a huge S’mores fan I had higher hopes of this over the red velvet. But in matter of fact I was let down. The Cookie is exactly as you would expect from a basic Chips Ahoy. Very chewy, soft, and provides a good chocolate chip cookie flavor. Being this is labeled a S’more cookie I was hoping for some graham cracker flavor. The bitter truth is there was next to none. A huge miss on the graham, but that was made up with the chocolate and marshmallow compliments. The chocolate filling is a pure milk chocolate like you would expect in chocolate chip cookies. The marshmallows were plentiful and aid the chocolate to give you a better replica of a S’more. Its hard to give this a good grade when the Chip Ahoy forgot one of the most important elements being the Graham Cracker flavor.
The Good:
-Great milk chocolate filling and flavor
-Strong Marshmallow flavor and mini marshmallows
-Bite size, not massive cookies, 70 kcals each
-Very Chewy and moist
The Bad:
-Graham Cracker flavor is non existent

Red Velvet Chips Ahoy
These cookies are very soft, delicious, and pack a lot of pure red velvet flavor. I have been turned off by a lot of red velvet desserts in the past, and usually am burned by them 95% of the time. The red cookie has a great cocoa flavor with the red food coloring. There is a hint of saltiness that helps enhance the red velvet flavor.
The Cream Cheese chips are done very well. You get a pure cream cheese frosting flavor in each and every bite, not to mention these are stuffed with a cream cheese filling on the inside of the cookie. Job well done, usually red velvet is a massive letdown. These were worth the buy.
The Good:
- Very rich and delicious cream cheese Chips
- Red Velvet cookie is very well done
- Super moist and delicious
- 70 kcals a cookie
The Bad:
- You can easily eat a sleeve of these in an eye
- Stronger Chocolate in the red velvet base

Salt and Straw Pots of Gold and Rainbows
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...-gold-rainbows
Like Lucky Charms? Enjoying drinking the milk in your cereal after you are finished eating it? Then guess what this is made for you. Too bad this flavor was only around as a March exclusive to Salt & Straw. Many may argue their favorite cereal of all-time, but its hard pressed to find a company who can duplicate that into an ice cream. My only gripe would be a small sugary swirl to really take this one over the edge, but it was fantastic.

Chocolate and brownie loves rejoice. This screams your name all over it for those who are chocoholics. Personally I would of enjoyed a sweet vanilla ice cream base to really separate the flavor of the brownies. The chocolate base was great, and the brownies were spectacular. You can't complain on the quality Salt & Straw brings to the table. I personally would of enjoyed a chocolate fudge swirl (like frosting for a brownie) or a vanilla base to really enhance the flavor of the brownies. Good, but Salt & Straw offers better flavors.

Salt & Straw Almond Brittle with Salted Ganache
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...salted-ganache
This pint was win from the very first scoop. Breaching the top of the pint was a 1" shard of almond brittle, soon to be followed by loads more. The consistency of the mix-ins from salt & straw in all 5 pints I ordered were on point. Packed to the brim and were there to the very last bite. The amount of flavor in each and every bite of this offering made it incredibly enjoyable. Not only was the vanilla base great, everything else just followed suit to form a masterpiece.

Choco Chip Oreo Review
Choco Chip Oreo's are labeled as "Oreo cookies feature a first ever dual flavored wafer (golden/Chocolate) with chocolate chip cream inside". While that may seem like a step up from previous concepts in the past, how much will this really vary the taste of an oreo? A new shell, and a different cream filling is a start. While there have been some hit or miss reviews even before the July 11th release I had to give these a crack.
The shell combines a golden shell that has bits of chocolate chips spread throughout it. Appearance wise it looks different, taste wise it does not enhance the golden oreo much. The bits of chocolate help enhance the chocolate aspect of a cookie by adding the sweetness of semi-sweet chocolate. I got a touch of a cinnamon vibe but again a very minimal amount, you will be nitpicking to see much of a difference from a regular oreo shell with a slight variety.
The filling of this oreo doesn't taste like raw cookie dough or a pure chocolate chip cookie, but it has hints of each element. You get more of an oreo cream filling from a normal oreo. While it may not be 100% accurate to what the box shows, they did a decent job on trying to replicate it. There were a few reviews stating a slight "caramel" taste, but I got none of that. This was basically a covered up looking regular oreo.
The Choco Chip Label is very misleading, it is not one you should rush out to buy in the grocery stores. I personally would still rank the Reese PB, Fruity Crisp, and Cinnamon Bun as my top 3 flavors. Even with the new aspects in the shell and cream filling there could be room for improvement. Being a big cookie fan I was slightly letdown by what I was expecting. I would give these a 6.5/10 as a middle of the road oreo.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

Ben & Jerry's Pecan Sticky Buns:
http://theicecreaminformant.freeforu...an-sticky-buns
Given the massive amount of pecans and sticky bun dough, every spoonful of Ben & Jerry’s Pecan Sticky Buns is going to leave a taste to be remembered. Besides the lack luster cream cheese swirl, Ben & Jerry's made a good seasonal flavor. The base is overpowered by the mix-ins offered in the pint. In regards to comparing this to Cinnamon Buns the caramel base wins. Combine the improved base in cinnamon buns and the cinnamon streusel swirl that flavor gets the upper hand. Thick Pecans and Sticky bun dough (a mix-in that needs to be used more often) were great additions to the brown butter base, but not enough ammo to win the war.

seeing this makes me think i need to start a review for my endless samples of Arctic Zero and Enlighted brand ice cream products. Must have had 6-7 of each in the past month. Loved them all! Bit pricey however is the catch!
