Evan update?

This will be interesting to see what kind of shape Evan comes in now he is working with Oscar. It is kinda weird that he would take someone into his prep who does not know his body and might make some mistakes with him the same way Chad brought Wolf into the O last year. Only time will tell. Hope Evan does well.

The trainers/gurus get the shaft when their athletes come in off, so Oscar better pray that Evan is spot-on.

That post was a thing of beauty, btw. If Centopani fails in bodybuilding (I suspect strongly that there's NO CHANCE of that happening) then he would do well as a diplomat!

Why? Because if I "write evans diet for him" then he'll look like the Pillsbury Dough Boy whereas if Dave or Oscar does the job then he'll (hopefully) look as hard as nails.

Obviously everyone's going to have their theories as to the rational behind the switch, but to be honest, if Evan was so happy and impressed with the results he's achieved with Dave so far, changing approaches when he's gotten nothing but positives, is just idiotic, and to think that even though he's expressing respect, and friendship with Dave, will make it more believable is foolish. I like Evan, and I do get the vibe that he's in a rough situation, trying to please everyone while still appearing a nice guy. Sadly, I doubt anyone will believe this BS.

i disagree...this is oscars first time working with Evan. A guru has to get to know his clients body and that a relationship that builds over time. Plus Oscar has had great success with Kai, Kevin English and i think he works with Desmond Miller to

Regardless of what we choose to do in life...First and foremost...We need to be happy with who we are and what we're doing. Evan is doing what he genuinely feels he needs to do...And with that approach he really cant lose.
He did what he thought was right...And to me thats all he can ask of himself.
The end result is in the judges hands, not his.

Not to bash anyone's opinions and predictions here, and I really do not mean to sound negative in any way. But there is a chance that Evan will not place top 3. How likely that chance is, I don't know since we haven't seen him since his National win.

With that being said, this is Evan's first show and I'm sure he just wants to step on stage and bring the best package that he has up to date. Keep in mind, if everyone expects him to win or place top 3 and he places 4th or 5th, then people will consider this showing as a failure. And that is probably not the way Evan might see it since he will simply be happy that he looked great for his pro debut but was just beaten by more experienced bodybuilders.

There is no denying that Evan has a great future in this sport and has potential of being a top 5 in the Olympia for many years to come (and also win it). But let's not go nuts with these expectations without even knowing how he looks on a pro stage.

I agree, definetly wont win it, but will most likely place top 5 if not 3. Dont know if anybody has won their first pro show in the past?

Phil Heath won his first two(NYpro and Colorado a week apart) in 2006, then 5th at arnold, 1st at Ironman, 2nd at Arnold, 3rd at Olympia. Wheeler won his first several as I recall.
