Good point Tammy. Another question for you ladies...if you had this done after you started competing, did you lose much size/strength having to take time off lifting to recover? It kills me to think I have to take so much time off after working so hard to get to where I am now. It will be worth it in the end, but it still sucks! If you didn't lose much, how did you prevent it? I like my muscles!

I would say my training "kinda" was on hold... but never to the whole bod. I went back like a week later, did my norm, just made certain those girls were secured nice and tight. Honestly you wont feel like doing anything for fear the will bust open.. lol.. they wont. You will naturally baby them and a few months later you will notice you can do more. I gotta say, once you have them in, it wont be as important to train chest as it has been... your new tits basically just magically did that... gave you a solid strong rack.... the look you want.

Its been 3yrs now and I dont even know i have them when I bench or work em.... although in the months that followed my surgery it was really odd to see them pop out... to the outsides only when I did certain exercises... very odd and funny too!!

U wont regret it... and u wont be out forever!! Ur bod might like you chillen out on it... I know u go crazy with it daily!

I started prepping for my first show 3 months after I got mine. Mine were "unders" so the biggest issue was dealing w/ the healing of that - random nerve ticks and muscle spasms when my pecs contracted, as well as letting the implant pockets themselves heal - scar tissue, etc. Outside of that, not a big deal.

As far as "losing" things - assuming you've spent more than a couple months in the gym already, you're developing a certain amount of muscle memory every time you step into the gym. If you're judicious about your diet & training, the whole point is to get your body optimized to where it is adjusting to support the changes you're making. Thus short term changes are usually easily accommodated.

^this makes me feel a lot better Sassy, thank you. I guess seeing as so many women in this sport have had it done, and don't appear to be set back by it, I shouldn't worry so much.

So end of March/beginning of April its a go!

I was thinking about this last nite as well - you need to let your body heal. I know we all freak out about time off from the gym from surgery or getting the flu or whatever. The thing is, your body is going to be busy expending energy healing itself so IMO if you try to keep lifting to avoid 'loss' in your muscle development, you may actually be overtaxing your body while it is busy dealing w/ the reason you're out of the gym in the first place. Its a balance- its sort of like best use of limited resources. Your body has a certain amount of energy it can allocate to all the demands on it. You trying to make up for a perceived "down time" can just be too much,. It all comes out in the wash IMO. The point is to let your body do what it does best. Don't overfeed it or over use it. I always remind myself that overtraining is the same as under-recovery. From both sides, they will still result in the same thing - your body trying to keep up w/ the demands, hitting a wall, and ultimately telling you to go fuck yourself because the problem is about to get compounded by metabolic shutdown, injury, or any of a plethora of other exhaustion-related issues.

So, let yourself heal first. Your body will be well-rested and ready to hit hard again!

If a dude askes reply: did you finally get that penis enlargement?

If a woman askes: would you like me to setup a consultation for you?

That'll shut them up and realize how inappropriate their comments are

Most the ppl I work with didn't notice at all. I've since told few and they were like "ooh yeah, how did I not notice?!" However, I have always been one to wear padded stuff, add a cup bras, etc. now I just don't have to. I went from a small b to a small d, but when I diet down now I'm a c. I wear very modest clothes at work, butt outside of work the twins are more obvious. nothing a cardigan at the office can't hide.

    Hooray for tax refunds!!

If anyone at your office has any sense of corporate protocol, they will realize they are standing on the edge of a sexual harrassment suit and just not go there.

I agree with you Sassy. Most people in the work place won't say anything to you for fear of repercussions.
