This is the same organisation that gave the "ok" for prozac to be given to children!!!!

    http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...sk-481506.html

Their very name suggests corruptions: Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency!

There is NOTHING healthy about giving kids prozac, yet, if you want to take valerian because it helps you relax then that shouldn't be allowed.

How long before I've got to argue with my doctor to get 1000mg vitamin C capsules? How long before I can't buy vitamin D freely, despite all the research showing it is healthy and safe, yet I can have corticosteroids, steroid creams, antibiotics and other stuff that can/will damage my health?

It really makes me wonder. The people making these things happen are likely doing so for monetary gain. Don't they EVER think "what kind of world am I leaving to my kids"? I'm sure if they did they would commit suicide in shame.

    PROOF the MHRA is CORRUPT!

In the BMJ, Ben Goldacre provides a brief summary of the main problems associated with drug companies sponsoring most of the research (1). He clearly explains how doctors can be misled by pharmaceutical companies not publishing the negative research finding associated with their drugs. He also describes how these companies can publish the same positive study several times (each in a slightly different way but using the same data) – the positive results from one trial then create the impression that several different positive studies have been done.

In the same BMJ article, in order to counter these arguments, Vincent Lawton provides a case for drug companies being in the best position to do the research (2).

Vincent Lawton admits that the current system is not perfect, but goes on to vaguely suggest that things will get better by drug companies regulating themselves better. He also suggests that research being done by drug companies leads to greater innovation.

This greater innovation, in my view, is difficult to accept. It is well known that the pharmaceutical industry is trying to deal with a crisis – in recent years there have been a distinct lack of innovate drugs. A large number of commentators have raised this issue. For example, the statement below is taken from an official journal of the Canadian College of Family Physicians:

Most “new” products brought to market since the 1990s have not substantially improved on the medical benefits provided by older, less costly drugs whose risks were well known. These new products are “me-too” drugs.....Most do not represent genuine therapeutic advances or meet those needs perceived by family physicians. They do, however, increase drug consumption. Technologic innovation does not equal therapeutic progress (3). “

This lack of meaningful innovation has led to drug companies having to get more people to take existing drugs. They do this by creating a society of the worried-well and by making people fear suggested risk factors (like cholesterol).

So who is Vincent Lawton? You might think that he works for a large pharmaceutical company. No, he is actually an executive director of the MHRA – the UK organisation that decides whether or not drugs should be approved for use.
    http://www.29billion.com/journal/tag/medical-corruption
So the executive director of the MHRA, the organisation that doesn't want you to be able to take natural supplements, thinks its absolutely fine that the drugs industry only reports positive things from its research, publishes the same research multiple times to create the illusion of "confirmed findings" and creates dependence!

How can this guy sleep at night? I'm pretty sure if the supplement industry started creating its own, falsified research, the government would quickly clamp down.

And of course most people don't know that steroids not even supplements, were brought on by the government when the Russians in the Olympics where taking them then the US caught wind and started taking themselves to beat the Russians in the weight lifting(not the full story, but close to it). If I was in the govt. I'd have every soldier on certain supps and run a low to moderate dose of test

Holy shit! If I didn't have my daily intake of melatonin and milk thistle, I'd be battling insomnia as my liver melted!

This is the thing right. You can take the overpriced drugs along with their side effects yet you cannot use natural alternatives!

I have issues with frequent urination at night and thus don't sleep well. My doctor wanted to give me a medication that "worked" but was likely to cause impodence. I'm 27! I currently take saw palmetto + melatonin and I'm fine. I sleep well and my life is great - without the impodence. I'd rather walk into the MHRA offices with an uzi and take out as many of those scum bags as I can than be forced to be dependent on over priced, side effect laden DRUGS when I know natural alternatives exist. Harsh maybe, but that's how I feel.
