pics of me 5 weeks out from first comp!
these were taken today Im 5 weeks out from my first comp, junior quebec open. Im 21 years old 5'9 and 186 pounds. Started my diet in december weighing 230+ definitely gonna try to stay leaner this offseason and add some quality mass. Am I behind or do you guys think I can make it? I've been losing 2-3 pounds a week so I will probably come in around 175 on stage

not trying to be a dick but you look way behind man. 230 to 175 is a shit ton of weight you had to drop.
you better double time it from here.

For 21 years old you look great bro. Great muscle shape, but like BC said, you're way behind. Id make a cut and up cardio and rock it the next 4 weeks hardcore. Good luck!

If its a lower level show I think you will do fine, just diet your ass off from this point out.

ok my diet is currently 150c/320p/ no direct fat sources, so fat comes from oats and chicken breast pretty much. cardio is 70 min a day. What would you guys recommend?

I am definitely no expert on the matter but at this point it might be better to up fats and drop carbs, keto style. I found that for me if I can't lose fast enough this change makes me lose a shitload of water then the fat starts really coming off. Also if you do this I would up the cardio to 90min a day. Your behind but can still come in alright if you put the pedal to the metal. You may sacrifice some size but I am a firm believer that if your not conditioned you shouldn't be on stage. Good luck.

good symmetry and size for first show. if u haul ass like the others said u might be able to pull this off well.

Lose the carbs is what I would recommend also, along with killing the cardio.

Yeah bro I'm gonna echo what everyone else is saying GO FULL BLOWN KETO until 3-4 days b4 show. And next time give yourself enough time to diet if you get out of shape in the off season! GOOD LUCK!!!

You wont be able to make it in contest shape in 5 weeks without losing alot of muscle. Your best bet is to find a show 10 weeks or so from now and then for sure you will be in shape and should do well if you come in shape. I suggest hiring Jason (Scoobysnacks) for the remainder of your prep if you decide to change shows and do something later. http://www.scoobyprep.com/

I am going to have to agree with MM. If you havent already sent your entry in and made hotel reservations (if you need them) I would pick another show to give yourself more time. However, that being said I think you could be close to stage shape but you will drop muscle and dont expect to be in extreme condition either.

just to be clear here since this is ur first show all us guys giving you this critique are telling u this to put u in a position to win your class. if u simply want to just experience competing then go for it. but these guys here are all serious competitors and not being totally ripped to the bone is like an eyesore to us. its like a an english teacher seeing you use their when its supposed to be there.

Is there a point in showing up if your not so ripped you can see organs? lol. I just know for me and many will echo this it's not worth it if your not ready. It takes away from the experience wishing you had come in better shape. You have great structure and with some diet guidance as MM said you could be very hard to beat. Good luck in whatever choice you make and keep us posted.
