    Default Hunger

What do you guys do to deal with the relentless hunger and cravings that come along with dieting? Been dieting 8 weeks now and constant hunger has been an issue lately. I drink diet sodas, sugar free jello, sugar free gum etcc... Also, all my meals are loaded with green veggies which seem to do nothing more than give me gas? Any suggestions? Or is this what separates us from the rest of the fat ass world?

Dieting isn't fun. That's why you only do it in short bursts. You can't LIVE on a diet. Diets are for contest prep, photoshoots, getting ready for vacation. They have a definite start and stop. So focus on that..that's it's only for X-amount of weeks.

We all feel this way during a diet/prep. It comes with the territory. The diet will make or break a person. People who can't diet, don't compete. It's that simple.

edit...PS...I know that to lose fat I need to feel hungry. If I don't feel hungry then my metabolism is slowed or I'm eating too much. So think of hunger as success. lol

You guys with the huge sponsor ads in your signatures make reading the forums annoying.

Thanks yea that gives some perspective. I just really have no way of telling how many more weeks of this I have ahead of me before I hit my goal. I asked scoob what he thought and he told me he's not a fortune teller lol. I'm thinking till AT LEAST early May if not June. So months of this can def be a daunting task but I do really want it you know?

it seems to be helping actually. but i know what you mean...if I indulge in any "real" treat at all, I usually go off the deep end

Do you guys limit sugar free gum while dieting? I'm not on keto but sometimes I'll chew 6-7 pieces a day. Is that too much? Plus I chew tobacco which has sugar in it but can that really impact a diet??

my hunger has been reduced a ton since i started working with scooby. eating a good amount of fat.
taking fiber with a bunch of water helps though.

Through manipulation of the diet, supplementation, and training, hunger can easily be controlled. I wish there was one key to this but there are multiples.

Hunger wasn't an issue for me either until I started on test. Then it went through the roof. Very fucking annoying. I only have a finite amount of willpower before I need to have a good feeding, then I'll be good for a few weeks. When I start drooling over protein bars is when I know that I'm in a bad spot. Long term dieting sucks balls

    Well I'm open to suggestions.

It's very possible that your tobacco consumption is affecting your cravings. Not to mention other aspects of your health.

Well here's the thing. When I started this thread I simply was not consuming enough veggies. Jason allows FREE green veggies which I failed to take advantage of. We then switched to keto, and the hunger only got worse...much worse. So we are back on a lower carb plan but this time, I am going through greens like nobody's business. Also, with my whey shake meals, I consume a fiber supp before drinking the shake which fills me up like hell too. About the tobacco, maybe you are right. But I can say that there is little to no chance of me quitting any time real soon. Greens and diet soda will only carry you so far in the way of cravings and the last thing I need is to have a nagging nicotine addiction stacked on top of what is already a very tough ordeal.

I feel ya, sir. I dipped for several years and "quit" many time. Adiction is real and when it comes to tobacco, it's mental. When you truly want to quit you will be able to... As far as artificial sweeteners go, they aren't the devil by any means but I'm sure there are negatives, especialy with greater intakes. Our bodies have to metabolize them and DO recieve calories. I try to stay away from them all together, especialy aspertame, but prefer acesulfame potassium or xylitol.
