Story of my life! LOL! It's all a part of prep and being hungry
Not sure I know what you mean by "go hard"? If you mean post show eating, I usually am one who struggles and puts on way too much too fast. This season I plan on reverse dieting and slowing increasing my calories after a relaxing weekend of enjoying some treats. I would HIGHLY advise against post show binging..A lesson learned the hard way.

hi.. i'm just under 3 weeks out and VERY tired.. I am pretty shredded upper body.. very lean.. quads are still slow to come in though (typical for me).. my carbs have been down to just 1/3 cup oatmeal at breakfast and then a later meal with either 1/4 brown rice or 4 oz red or sweet potato... i'm really feeling like I need to eat something more in the next couple of days.... maybe even a little cheat.. but i'm SO uncertain.. any advice?

Are you working with a coach? Start there! You're supposed to be feel like absolute dogshit as you dial into a show because your metabolism is screaming right now. Not knowing anything about your current diet or contest shape, last carb up or whatever protocol you are following, I think it would be subject to that to make a decision.

Wow, so glad I discovered this thread. Nice to know that all the things I am experiencing are "normal" and all part of this crazy, addicting journey! I am 8 weeks out from my first figure competition. Hungar has been a moderate issue but my macros are still high at this point. Sugar free gum is GREAT however, I have discovered I can only have certain brands due to the sweetener I guess. I am excited to try the sugar free cocca!! I like to have a cup of coffee at night but I like it with fat free creamer.....damn carbs!!!

10 days out and I am sooooo weak from about 10am until my preworkout around 430. I feel like I have 10 flights of stairs to get through anywhere I go. eeeeek can't wait for show time and I sure do miss me some carbs!!

Right on schedule! Are you doing a carb up? I don't know your diet but long-time-no-carbs leaves you waterless but also flat. (And yes, feeling like shit...) At least make sure you're getting sufficient fats to support the lack of carbs. And here is where the value of good quality sleep / recovery is priceless! If anything, make sure you're getting as much sleep as possible! Good luck on your show!

I'm getting ready for Nationals. I AM SO HUNGRY! I drink lots and lots of water, gum during the day, clean and organize alot and teas help in the evening to curb my hangry! I'm a designer so I try and keep myself busy with other design projects too. Its hard when all you can think about is food. lol

so this is my first post ever... I feel really good reading all the posts in here. I don't feel alone in my journey, hoping to show physique in August. I having been slowly cutting since October, I'm a healing disordered eater so there have been a few glitches, but for the most part I'm all better... Anyway it is frustrating for me because most of my family doesn't support my diet and goals, even to thpoint of mocking me. My husband is my biggest supporter and trainer, so I at least have that!

Hi and welcome!
Congrats on healing from an eating disorder! It's great that your husband is supportive and "gets" the lifestyle. Many of us here have found new circles of friends to support us. You're not alone with the unsupportive family, lots of us here can relate. You'll find a lot of encouraging people here to support you in your journey. Highly recommend you start a training journal and the supporters will find you.
Good luck with your contest prep!2016 RX Member of the Year & March 2015 Member of the Month

Welcome to rx!! Like sunny said your not alone with the little support from people, and at some point most of us here have probably had or developed some sort of eating disorder that we have overcome. Good for you for branching out and coming on the boards!
