Try to find someone with knowledge of the sport to help you with your posing. It will payoff big time when you compete!

Thanks for the advice Joel, I have a friend who competed nationally who has offered to coach me. I really understand that it is a crucial part of the competition. With a few month of coaching I should be much better at it. I've been practicing alot but need to start stretching more to get more flexible with my past injuries it's a little tougher for me but I won't let that deter me. I want to get down to about 4% bodyfat and doing a natural show I think I'll do Ok, in this area the competitions are huge but that makes it more exciting also it motivates me to train harder. Thank very much again for your advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Lookin good! Yes having someone to coach you that has that kind of experience is invaluable. Also the better the competition the better you will aspire to also.

hello, i'm new to this forum but am training for the national masters, pittsburgh july 21, over 60. my experience is mixed as i competed in my 30's and just recently competed in the npc northern ky masters over 60. the northern is the largest show in the united states, had over 360 competitors both male and female. great time but i'm sure this contest will be more challenging.

My weekly update, I am starting with a coach in 3 weeks and will be posting up a training journal. I'm 205lbs right now, at 5'11 @ around 11% body fat. Hoping to come in at 190lbs.

Looking good! Don't get too hung up on how much you weigh, just get into condition! Most bodybuilders get paranoid about losing too much size. The judges don't know how much you weigh they only know what they see!
