lower back fat
No matter how lean I get anywhere else, I still have lower back fat. Skin is about an inch thick. Abs can be paper thin skin but lower back/love handle area still is watery/fat. Any advice on this? Im not dieting for a show or anything just like to stay very lean year round. Not an estrogen problem, my estradiol is usually around 16-18. Genetics I guess, any tips?

Genetics certainly play a large role in where we hold fat. Unfortunately when its all said and done it all comes down to being lean enough. If you continue to strip away bodyfat it will eventually go from everywhere. I am someone that can be really lean everywhere, striated glutes, cross striated lower back etc. but have mediocre abs at best. I have to be show ready to have a full set of abs. Just the name of the game sometimes. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear lol

I have the same problem with my lower abs... I stay pretty lean year round I dont compete either so I am not looking to look like skinned cat plus I am natty....but its crazy I will loose 15 lbs and its almost like not one ounce of it comes from my lower stomach but my top four abs are in clear.... I hate it and if I had the money I would lipo it.... weird thing is in the morning its does not look half as bad i feel like water goes straight to that spot! so sorry man I think data is right you really have to diet your ass off maybe to the point were u loose some muscle.... unless you are on gear then its a dif story...

Yeah, exactly my probelm only with the love handle area. I think it is a lot of water as well. When I grab the area and roll in my fingers I really dont feel much fat, more like thick skin.. Even for my last few shows, I was really lean everywhere, even in the glute area and abs, but still have a watery softer look in the love handle area. And that was on gear and T3.

They speak the truth brotha! I have the same problem and I thought I could never get them down but it just took more dieting and more dedication to get them! If your getting ready to step on stage or just the beach a good trick is to rub preparation H on the area afew days before an event. It will draw water away from the area but it's just water you have to diet/train/cardio away the fat first! Good luck

^^ From what I understand Prep H no longer contains the water pulling ingredient. I saw this posted by someone awhile back in the contest prep forum

Water depletion and those wraps help me. I wear one every time I do cardio...you can try it while training with weights to.
