Do any of you listen to music while training/lifting?
I just can't get myself to anymore, it feels so pointless.
I listen to the bodybuilding motivation videos on my phone while I lift.
Yourself?

I used to not be able to lift without my iPod but I realized I was getting too dependent on it so I went a few weeks without it and felt alot better about my mind-muscle connection.
I finally realized I was just used to the lyrics of the songs, so I just made a playlist with nothing but classical orchestra music and techno stuff that was basically just background music. Workouts have been great and most importantly is that ppl see the headphones in and leave me the fuck alone in the gym!!! Haha

As long as the music in the gym isn't unbearable or all distorted, I'm fine with it.
I can't train with headphones...I get easily distracted by the music and start losing track of reps and such. I credit that to my ADD!
Instead, I get my intensity on with the music I blast in my car on the way to the gym.Last edited by pfunk; 03-29-2012 at 12:36 PM.
