This is awesome I believe there are safe ways to do things as far competing but we never know that unless we learn and then share our journey with others. Looking forward to more updates from u!

Haven't posted in a while. So here's where I am. My business is doing great! Busy and steady through the summer. I am still doing the gothic modeling. I love it and have 2 shoots this weekend. Working on my portfolio. Update on where I am health wise. Definitely getting a lot better. Working still with Shawn Bean, who is amazing! and Kevin Myles, who I love so much! Together they are a great team. I adjusted my fats in my diet since my weight hasn't budged but I took this week off of training because I was so burnt out and overtrained. Shawn is now addressing my low estrogen and low progesterone levels with some natural supplements. He believes this could be the cause as to why my body isn't burning. He does feel that I could compete next summer, but I won't do it unless my body is 100%.I am getting stronger and feeling so much more energy. My body loves carbs now and needs them! Amazing, since I did the keto diet for so long. So I guess we reset my metabolism. Everyday is a struggle because I so miss competing and still want to accomplish my dream of being an IFBB Physique pro. I am still staying positive and sometimes have a breakdown but I know I will comeback stronger and healthier than ever.

Do you know how I healed? DON'T DO ANYTHING!! Don't diet, measure food, do cardio, train......just rest for a year! I know it sounds hard and yes you lose some muscle and gain some fat...but it works! It heals you quicker than any other way!!! Your body will find homeostasis again all by itself. The human body is amazing that way!

I am actually healing very well with the help of Shawn and Kevin. I am still lifting and do moderate cardio. Down to 154lbs and I feel better than ever. So the plan Kevin has me on as well as Shawn has resulted in my body responding again. My body is used to carbs and needs them. My diet is much more balanced and so is my training. Finally I am in a good place and I will accomplish my goal of getting my pro card in physique the less extreme way that I used to do. There is no going back to that. One thing I learned from this process is patience and balance. Also, to coax the body, not fight against it.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been very busy. So here is my update! First I am pursuing Gothic/Alternative Modeling so I am doing a few photo shoots to build my portfolio and send it out to some agencies. Trying to give it some more variety.
Still working with Kevin Myles. He is awesome! Although my weight is hanging at 157lbs, I am still the leanest I ever was in my off-season. I have had Achilles Tendonitis for 2 months now and doing the ART therapy for it. Taking some time to heal so I am limited to the elliptical or bike for my HIIT cardio. Very boring! Can't wait to sprint again! We are also playing around with carbs and have noticed that if I go too low, I tired and weak, which my old body never had this! So we are doing reverse diet, slowly bringing up my carbs for my body to get used to them.
Still working with Shawn Bean and he is awesome too! My body is 70% healed and we are now finding that it doesn't absorb the fat that I am eating thus my body isn't burning. He is taking care of that but I do feel better and as I am 37 now, sleep is so important for me to function well. I try to aim for 7-8 hours a night. Shawn does think that I can compete in July, so my plans are to compete in Open & Masters' Women Physique at the NPC Universe show in July to try to get my Pro card. If I place top 5 there, then I will do the NPC Master's Nationals and try to get the pro card there. This is all the plan but as I said before, if my body isn't 100% I WILL NOT compete. I will continue to work with Shawn while I am competing to make sure my body is functioning well. And I know this time around, working with Kevin, this will not be such an extreme prep. So can't wait to see how my body will look! I am still staying positive and I have learned patience through this process. This has been an emotional and tough road for me whereas others would have given up. I keep pushing. I am not going to lie, I have good days and bad days with not liking or liking how I look. But being healthy is the key.
