I can't afford to either. I told Noel that my funds are low. He is still helping me out! I am so amazed! I think he just loves to help people. I am so appreciative of him. When I do get some more money, I will throw it his way. He understands.

It's been a while since I posted. Just an update. I did the 7 weeks of more carb and no cardio. Now, Noel and I are going to try carb cycling. We are doing 2 days at 100g and 2 days at 150g. Only 30 minutes of cardio 3 days a week. On to the next level. My weight has been staying the same and Noel says this is a good thing. This is the toughest thing I have ever went through mentally! I know my metabolism has to heal but going through the process is tough.

I love seeing your progress and how he is helping you! This is hard mentally and physically as well! Do you know how long it will be before your metabolism can function without a SET diet plan?

Not sure Gail. I would have to ask Noel. We are now trying on having me lose some weight. Noel says when you go up with the carbs and your weight stabilizes instead of going up, that is a good thing. At first my weight did go up but then stabilized. Now we are trying to see if I can lose some weight. I am a very structured person and always like to have a set diet plan. Will keep you posted! I am dying to compete next year. Still not sure if I want to do physique or bodybuilding.

On to the next stage. Now I am carb cycling. Having 100grams for 2 days and 150 grams for 2 days. Still not losing any weight. I woke up this morning and felt so tired and run down. Then I was thinking that I haven't taken a week off of training in months. This is what my body feels like when I am overtrained. Time to take a week off and rest the body. Mentally and physically I am just not there. No motivation. This is when I have to spend a week out of the gym and it really does help get the drive back. I do this every 4-6 months. Will keep myself busy with other things in the mean time and stick to my clean diet. I am convinced my metabolism is so damaged and it is going to take a lot to get it back.

Not sure. Will have to ask him the next time I talk to him. I am just burnt out right now with training.

So I took a week off of training and feel great! Now back to work. Still doing some cardio and weights. Having the week off made me think about things. I am contemplating giving up the weight training and just doing cardio to downsize. I haven't done this since I was 14 years old! This was how I started out! It is a little scary for me because I don't respond to change very well. Still on the fence about it, but I know if I want to compete in physique, this is what I have to do. Don't have a decision yet.
Don't be scared! Maybe start a training journal on here as you begin and go through the process... You will find lots of support on here from girls who have done just this and can have a place to vent and share your thoughts...just an idea!Last edited by The Prodigy; 06-06-2012 at 06:35 PM.

So I had a scare yesterday. I felt extreme anxiety and my heart beating fast. I did not feel good all day and was also feeling weak. Needless to say, I still trained but it was tough. I called my Dr. on this and he is going to test out my adrenal glands. My thyroid is finally showing normal levels. I am tired all the time and getting bouts of anxiety plus I just cannot lose weight. So, now it on to getting my cortisol levels checked through a 24 hour urine test. So frustrating! I just want to feel good again.

Yes, I have Hashimoto's disease. I take a combination therapy of Synthroid and Cytomel. Will keep you posted on the adrenal test.
