Congrats on the physique overhaul, and welcome to Rx. My one suggestion is that you remember that just because you are in the best shape YOU can be in at the time, doesn't mean you should step on stage. At 6'1 you have a large frame, and dieted down you're going to lose another 30lb no matter what if you want a stage worthy physique, but at that point you are 6'1 - 170 and even in the natural organizations that's not considered big at all, and you may even want to consider Physique in the NPC. Clearly you are on the right track though and it's good to see interest in the sport and competition. Even if you are not ready to hit the stage just yet, you are definitely on track. Again, Welcome to Rx

Thanx bro! Much apreciated. Yeah I need to put on some size but my focus now is leaning out and seing what needs the most work. Need to build up my legs and cap my shoulder out. I figure im at least a year if not more out from first competing but still on the fence. I enjoy the sport regardless. I need some guidance for sure on comp prep etc. Need to figure out where my weight should be i have a very wide frame and shoulders naturally and can carry alot of weight. My legs carry next to no fat only fat is lower back and belly fat..Increased my cardio and diet is clean as can be..

Yeah, NJ most definitely does if you think about it! I'm now south of most of them but, I have some decent training spots around me. Unfortunately, one I basically grew up at was real "hardcore" and shut down. They re-opened recently and I signed back up but, a large amount of people went their seperate ways, got rid of a few machines but, still a great place to train.
Like 7 different HS back machines, 100lb plates, 165lb db's, 3 power racks, some good stuff there.Jimmy Robinson
