4 weeks out from the NPC Natural Ohio and NPC Natural Indiana!
Hey guys, I don't post here too much.... I have an offseason journal that I posted in the workout journals and told myself I would do a contest prep journal on this forum (right now I also have one going on MD)... so here goes:
My name is Jon Habeshy, I'm getting ready for the 2012 NPC Natural Ohio and NPC Natural Indiana (and possibly one other show in July in my hometown!) I'm now four weeks out from the Ohio so here are some pics:
I'll post more as time goes on, just getting this one started! I've been really focusing on my hams.... size is there but I need to keep hammering them to bring them out (as well just continuing to get leaner! doh!)

3/28/12: well here we are I'm 3 days out! I haven't posted much b/c I've been extremely busy with life! Workouts have been ok, my split switched up a bit this week.... here's what it looks like:
Sun: Legs (last heavy day, quads and hams)
Monday: Chest, light side delts and arms
Tuesday: back, calves
Wednesday: Shoulders
Thursday: Arms
I took one pic tonight and this will be the last until the show.... enjoy!

Hey all! Thought I'd give everyone an update on how the shows went! I didn't do so hot place-wise at the Natural Ohio, partially b/c I stuck to the old school practice of cutting water. I implemented a Layne-Norton peak week for last weekend's show, the NPC Natural Indiana and it worked amazing! Below are pics from the Natural Indiana...

Placing should mean nothing (for the most part), what matters most is if you were happy with your showing and if it beat out your previous stage package?

You are right on Jrob! That's the only way I can look at it... at least on contest day, I think of winning every day leading up to the show, on the day of, just have fun and get it done! I'm definitely happy with last weekend's outcome, it was easily the best I've ever looked onstage, would have been nice to get 1st though, I only missed it by 1 point!

That's awesome man, great way to be! I've learned through my shows if you hold grudges or are bitter in any way it takes away from the whole experience and how you roll out from a show.

Yup! Never leave upset or bitter, the Ohio show was a bitter pill to swallow after pre-judging (3rd callout), but after talking to the judges and some trusted friends I got over it (for the most part, lol) and still managed to have some fun the rest of the weekend and I think it mentally prepared me for last weekend, I was so much more laid back... as a result, I had the most fun I ever had competing last weekend, and the placing had nothing to do with it!
