So what #s would I use in calculating Quest Bars in my non-keto diet?
I understand the caloric difference between fiber-carbs and non-fiber carbs, but here's my issue:
I picked up a few boxes of these as my girlfriend loves them (and admittedly, I've become a fan as well). I'm several weeks out from a contest, and needed to drop my carb intake a bit. As such, I've swapped out my usual protein bar (26g carbs, not much sugar) with these rationalizing that the fiber won't really get digested much, and I'll end up ahead with my #s.
As a fan of the Choc/PB and Coconut/Cashew, we've got about 160-170 cals, and about 24g of carbs, 17 of which are fiber. So in logging my carb intake, I'm assuming it's not as simple as 24-17 = 7g?
Thanks for any thoughts people chime in with.
