Badly in need of your advice!
Ok, my history. I am a 41 year old single male who (used to anyway) keeps in shape so that I can best pursue my lifelong passion of hunting and solo hiking. About 18 months ago, I fell for one of those crazy hot women that you cant get enough of. Empasis on the "crazy". Hunting, hiking, and working out went out the window. Today, she is gone and I am a soft 5'6" 190lb lump of shit. Along the way, I developed "low T".
I am working hard to get back in shape. What I need is advice on supplements etc.. to take. Other than musclemilk, I never took anything but my age combined with my low testosterone and the extra 20 lbs I have packed on have caused me to be more open minded. The doc put me on one tube of Testim a day which will be increased to two within a month to help with the low T.
What else should I take to maximize the Testim, regain my strength, and cut the fat?
My workout consists of lots of compound exercises using sand filled gravel bags, cross country hiking with an over-weighted pack, and wind sprints with the pack on. I dont hit the iron much, anymore, because this type of workout helps me with my hobbies more than anything.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, bros.

He wants to improve his body comp. Weight training and the subsequent muscular development has metabolic benefits that cardio does not ie enhanced metabolic rate, better glucose utilization, improved lean to fat mass ratio. And we can all agree the diet is the most factor here

again hes not a bber. i dont think your reading his whole post. he wants to lose fat and regain his strength. he wants to get back into his hiking and hunting. he is doing compound movements with sand bags, and hiking with added weight. he already has the training covered. obviously the gym wouldnt hurt but its not needed.

I read the part where he said he wants to "regain..strength and cut the fat" Bodybuilder or not I still say weights is the best way to accomplish that goal. Obviously, he should also train for what he loves to do but there is a decision that is going to have to be made between improved body comp and being better at a certain sport. Sure, he'll cut weight with the cardio that he's doing but without a good diet dialed in (which I don't think he has, no offense) he will sacrifice a lot of lean tissue doing what he's doing now. Too much of that long winded cardio can really leave a man skinny-fat especially if the protein isn't there. Hunter, I suggest you go out and get yourself a quality whey protein isolate supplement and have 2 shakes a day, or even continue to use Muscle Milk 2x per day just to add extra protein to your diet. In the mean time, learn as much as you can about nutrition that would be my focus.

Diet is definitely a determining factor. You cannot outwork a bad diet

this is weight training "My workout consists of lots of compound exercises using sand filled gravel bags"
a gym may be preferred by some but isnt needed to weight train, especially when your not bbing.
im not trying to have a pissing match either but i am trying to help out the op. while theres nothing wrong with a gym its just not needed for the stated goals since he is already weight training with the movements that build strength whick is what he wants.

OK just looked up testim... Did you try any supplementation/drugs to try to boost your natural test production before going on it?
