Liquid Sun Rayz
Has anyone used these products? What were your results?
Also , I see they have a spray and a mousse?
What is better?
I have used other products, but have heard such good things about Rayz that I think it is the way to go?

Ive not used their products but always hear good things. I would see if you show offers a spray service. I was sprayed for my last two shows and I will never go back. I was sprayed with Jan Tana and the color was awesome not to mention the attention the day of the show for touch ups. I know LSR offers a spray service at many shows as well. Really cannot go wrong either way.

LSR is the best looking comp tan I have ever seen. Kid who won overall at my show used it and a few other guys. It's the only product I will use after seeing it on other people now.

i tried it this year. i have it on in my avatar pic.<----- i found some positives and negatives. it is a nice rich brown tone vs the more orange you get from protan. i didnt need to apply coat after coat like i have with PT. 2 coats were good for me. i found that it wasnt as transparent at protan, with 2 coats. not muddy like dream tan, but not quite as thin as protan.
my friend used it a couple wks before me. we tried to brush it on her. it came out very uneven. i have heard that it works great when sprayed on and i would certainly go that option if you can. if you apply by hand, be sure to use the roller she includes. as you're spreading it, it becomes tacky and evens out nicely.
my main issue was by the time i got to the night show, areas had worn away and became uneven. i tried to touch it up, but it make me a little splotchy. overall, this sounds worse than it was. it certainly wasnt a perfect look though.
my final thought. i would try it again, but i would get it sprayed. if i couldnt get it sprayed, i'd go another route

Thanks guys. I have heard it was a good color.
How about if I have time to show before the night show? Does it all come off? Is it like Jan Tana than "stains" the skin a bit?
Oh, I have done protan (not dark enough for me), dream tan, which really came out well for me when I slept in it (no horror stories like other and I have also prepped people with it), and I have prepped guys with Jan Tana Comp color, which I am worried about not being dark enough for me.
My wife will be putting it on me for the first time which makes me nervous. My mom always did it before.
Did you put it one the night before too? How about the oil the day of the show? I was going to use Jan tana oil like I have in the past.

i hear you about protan not being dark enough. in 2010, i tanned and tanned, then put on 1 1/4 bottles of protan and there were still guys darker than me.
back to LSR...and this was just my experience. i has a friend at nationals who had no problems when it was sprayed. i rolled on 1 coat on the night before. looked even and dark. woke up and it had gotten splotchy. i slept for about 6-7 hrs and was dry...didnt sweat much. so that wasnt an issue. i light rinsed in the shower on saturday morning and started fresh. prejudging looked good. i had a several hr wait till the night show and in that time, it had once again gotten uneven again. as far as oil goes, oil didnt seem to make the tan move or streak at all. i used protan posing oil.
yes, after showering, it did leave my skin stained, but it didnt look fake. in fact, people thought i had gone on vacation somewhere sunny. this gave me an idea for my next show a few wks later. i liked the brown tone of the LSR but i didnt like the way it seemed to wear after time. for the 2nd show, i put a coat on, let it soak in on friday. then on friday evening, i did a light rinse in the shower. once again, i had that deep "been on vacation" tan. from there, i applied several coats of protan. i like what i got out of it. it remained even through the contest day. didnt fade, run, or wear just as i would expect from protan, BUT the classic protan orange look was toned way down by the LSR stain and i was darker
best of luck

So the LSR sits on the skin?
Have you used Jan Tana Competition Color. I have with a few guys, but I didn't think it was dark enough either/
Thanks

Hello all...just now seeing this thread. Marilyn Spatola here, LSR owner Just a quick reply to address the above issues mentioned. Spray on is always preferred with the Bronzer, however many have a very good result self applying by hand. It is a much darker product than most out there, so less is more with our product. We normally do not have an issue with the product holding up well between pre judging and finals, but every persons skin is different, and everyone has to find out what works best for them. We do have our color available in a mousse as well, and just had it reformulated. It is now very easy to apply, dries quickly, and works extremely well for touch ups ! Applies with gloves and smooths on like butter! This may be a better , less messy option you all may like to try next time. If we can be of any help at all in answering any questions, feel free to ask away!

i had them spray me for my overall win at the npc southern indiana. the stuff just kicks ass. with most tanners including jan tana after the initial coat is put on i feel i always look worse. w Liquid sunrays my veins started popping out and i just looked better with each coat. I will never use anyone else again plain and simple.
