Halo Extreme Review
From my experience with Halo Extreme, I think IML will have to add one more warning on the label: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, HAVE ANY SHIRTS TAILOR-MADE PRIOR TO USING THIS PRODUCT.
Yep, a couple of months before I ran my Halo cycle, I had a nice shirt tailor-made for me and let me tell you it fitted beautifully. Tapered to show off my hard-earned V-taper, nice and snug around the arms to show off my bicep development, fitted nicely to my capped delts. Wonderful. Except when I tried to put that same shirt on again after my cycle, I couldn't button it around my chest, I couldn't bend my arms without risk of ripping the sleeves hulk-style and... well you get the picture. So that's a $150 brand new shirt I can't wear anymore.
I think it's only fair that Iron Mag Labs should compensate me for the cost of replacing the shirt. Well, okay, they can make it up to me by sending my another couple of bottles of Halo instead...
Joking aside, this is my official review:
I turned 49 in March and decided it would be pretty cool to give the finger to Father Time by seeing if I could get significantly stronger over my birthday month. I'm not on any form of HRT other than occasionally running some OTC test boosters - which probably don't work. So planned to get a little 'help' with my efforts.
I had previously run Cyanostane Rx with good results but found that it elevated my BP a bit too much so I decided to try something milder. Halo Extreme looked to be the perfect combination of good, sustainable gains with relatively mild sides.
I followed a very simple 4-week cycle of 2 caps a day, as per the label instructions. I ran Advanced Cycle Support throughout and I used E-Control RX for PCT, again following the instructions on the label to the letter.
My daily supplementation (whether on cycle or off) includes 1 pack of Animal Pak, 1 pack of Animal Flex, 10 grams of Fish Oil, CoQ10, Hawthorn Berry and Milk Thistle as well as 6 capsules of Astralagus (yeah, I'll admit I'm a bit of a Carl Lanore follower...).
Oh yeah, plus lots of Myofusion protein and Size On (during my workout).
As expected with Halo, the gains didn't really flare up dramatically until the third week although there were noticeable improvements even early on in the cycle. I didn't notice any particular leaning out but my waist-size didn't increase either.
Over 4 weeks I gained 8kg - that's 17.6 pounds in American - which is pretty amazing. Hence the shirt problems I mentioned at the start. My arms grew about an inch which was pretty cool. Strength increases were equally impressive and I went from been able to do 6 strict weighted pull ups with a single 45lb plate to doing 6 with TWO 45lb plates - despite putting on 8kg!
I'm writing this review now, about 2 months after completing the cycle, and the gains have remained.
My BP remained in the healthy range and I only noticed two side effects starting from the 3rd week of my cycle - back pumps (even from standing or walking for too long) and some cramping or pulling if I stretched more than I normally would. Both these sides disappeared within a week of commencing PTC.
Would I run Halo again? ABSOLUTELY! I found it to be very effective with easily managed and very mild side effects.
I still have a bottle of Super DMZ (original version) and 2 bottles of Epistane tucked away in my supplement cupboard (I bought 'em some time ago when I realised that we might well be be facing the legal end of the prohormone era) but I am now a Halo Extreme believer so I think I'll stock on some more soon.
Unless of course IML compensates me accordingly for the money i wasted on my nice shirt...
