good pic. some may disagree but dorian was the last mass monster to really keep his gut down. i know towards the end of his career in '97 you could tell it was going to be his last olympia but '94-'96 he was the best.

I still think Dorian looked his best in the off season, even today no one looked or looks that freakysince or now. I remember seeing ronnie in his offseason form and he looked like the michellin man. Dorian looked just scary awesome in the offseason

because he was in a bunch of drugs and probably did not go off. also the diet. he probably ate clean compare to Coleman
By the way in that comparison picture dorian was post show while roonie was I think 4 or 5 weeks out carb depleted. you can clearly see the muscle looks flat compared to dorianLast edited by qbanfreak90; 06-18-2012 at 09:02 AM.

The Yates gym pic is 3-6 weeks pre Olympia, not post show. Yates had small arms? Lol he didn't have arms that were too big. To say small is ignorant.

I'll never get chance to see this guy in real life in his prime and that really sucks.

Prime Dorian was the greatest ever? I don't even...
LOL.
If we're still talking about bodybuilding; welcome to planet Ronnie. Please take a number and step in line.

Easily the greatest front double bicep of all time.... But you can't take it away from Yates, he's got some powerful poses too; front lat-spread, abs and thighs, back double and back lat-spread, side tri are all crazy

Cool pic. Yates really did look like he was made out of granite.
Say all you want about his proportions when he starting to suffer torn muscles, but IMO his conditioning onstage really set the standard in the 90's.

The pic you post is from 92 mr O and YES that was the absolute best bodybuilder on earth ... THIS YEAR.
Video you post is 1988... when he took his pro card.
The pic before 93 mr O will stay in history of bodybuilding FOR EVER ! I had the front double biceps in my store on poster :-)
And his front lat spread i believe it's best one in history. I never saw a sicker, wider lat spread than this one.
But i agree Dorian 96, 97 were ... so so to say the least.
I can not say a bad word on Dorian i got too much respect for him. I'm eating Dorian 3 times daily since a week or more, listening interview, podcast, reading article. When he speaks, everything seems so clear, so logic !

"This pic confirms that Dorian was the best."
That pic confirms to me that he was absolutely NOT the best ever. Threads like this make me really believe people truly do think differently.
