A lot of people shit on LISS. As if it hasn't been getting bodybuilders ripped for the past 5 decades. Some people may never need to do much, if any at all. Stan Efferding is probably one of those people, thus he claims LISS is useless. The main point behind why people say LISS is useless is because you basically stop burning calories as soon as you stop doing the cardio whereas weight training and HIIT lead to a greater degree of EPOC (excessive post exercise oxygen consumption) which raises the metabolic rate.

LISS has always worked for me. I do it all year around, even while gaining. It helps keep me leaner. The nice thing about LISS is you can bump the time pretty high with little risk of burning muscle tissue.

I used to to LISS and ended up having to go over an hour and not as lean... I go with HIIT now 15 mins and am leaner than with LISS... everyone is different but I prefer HIIT all the way...
