Shipping Time: DP's vs. PP
Anyone know the shipping time for Palumbo? I got my sample from PP and it got here ASAP, but ordered the 100ml from DP as it was $10 cheaper. I'm concerned about slow shipping time from him though. Anyone know the ETA with his site?

So I finally got an email back from DP in response to my question about shipping/tracking. Here is what the email included:

Thanks Joel. I emailed you the order number. I'm not unhappy, I was just curious about shipping times and couldn't find an answer anywhere. The other site is very upfront about shipping times and emails you a tracking number. I ordered the 100ml from you and the 50ml from them

Seems my order got shipped today, likely as a result of my inquiry. So just for comparison, order from PP shipped next day and order from DP shipped 6 days later after inquiry. To me, it's worth the extra $10 for fast, reliable shipping. Not trying to be negative towards DP's site but just giving an honest review.

Dave replies to emails very fast but he takes FOREVER to send stuff out. Everything I have ever ordered took week and half to arrive. I placed an order for the raw cacao bars and after almost 2 weeks of not receiving it, I emailed him and Nicole from the shipping dept decided to inform me it was out of stock and he was waiting on new shipment. I wish I would have known sooner. That is poor customer service on their part. Then she asked if I wanted to wait or get a refund, saying the bars will be in on a tuesday and she can send em out asap. Well I was leaving to go out of town saturday morning so I really needed them by friday. The city I live in is over 100 degrees every day and the bars could melt if left in my mailbox for 5 days as I was on vacation. Never Nicole never emailed me back saying if they received the bars and if they got shipped. They did not arrive before I left to go out of town and when I get back, there they were sitting in my mailbox COMPLETELY melted to crap. I put them in the fridge to get them to solidify again but they were all messed up. I was very upset how poorly the entire transaction went. I will not be ordering again.

I would be happy if there was just information listed on the website about the shipment time. I live in a rural area and have to order just about anything that you can't buy at wal-mart. I like to know when to expect products I've ordered. That way it eliminates false expectations. It also helps me to choose which merchant to go with.
As for DP, once I complained I got a fast turnaround. I just don't like to complain. I expect good customer service without it.
