Beta-alanine question
Does anyone know if it matters if you take beta-alanine with or without food?

I've never seen anything that would indicate that coingestion with food is either good or bad. I know that some people feel that taking it with food blunts the flushing and tingling effects.
There is also a debate about timing/dosage. The latest that I saw came down on the side of 4 equal doses, spread over the course of the day. Some others have indicated that timing was insignificant.Weak is a state of mind.

The only thing i have noticed when taking BA with food is the blunting of the prickly feeling. I take it both on an empty stomach and with food. For that matter i add in my drink with dinner.

Not to be a TP pimp, but I don't think you can go wrong with buying it in bulk. TP even sells it capped, but like all capped products it's more expensive than bulk. I believe that Bulk Nutrition also carries BA, but it is slightly more $$ than TP.

I use NOW beta alanine. Thats all i have ever used for that matter. Gotta love the prickly feeling with BA. Does tend to freak first time users of BA out.

10g a day, spread out, but on workout days taking it pre- and post-. Creatine is a synergist, so take 10g or more a day of creatine mono with it.

I'm curious as to why dosages so high (10g)? I haven't seen anything in the research over 6.4 grams. Anyone have a link to something else?
