Default Chris Aceto post show rebound article?

Looking for Chris's most recent thoughts on post show rebound.
the last one I read was adding 150g carbs and that he advised low fat diets....

I dont believe that is his approach these days correct?

this is my first rebound and im looking to capitalize on it

Jason here is my only advice...take it easy, whatever you do haha. I went crazy after my first show...ok and a couple others. I find the hardest thing now is not right after the show, but the next few days (or weeks lol). I will be on vacation with my wife in Cali, we are staying out there a week and heading down to Venice on Sunday, so I hope to keep pretty good condition.

I think a good rule of thumb though is if you dieted 15 weeks like I did, then take about the same amount of time to gradually gain back. Also, it is a great time to put on muscle. There are some really good natty articles out there about this. I think by Sean Sullivan the bodybuilder.
    Good luck.

at the first week or two im ading in a tablespoon of oil to my shake and a piece of toast or fruit to breakfast shake.

    that is about 250-280cals...

cardio will drop to no incline but still walking 3mph 30min 2-3 times a week.

im interested in using car pushes for cardio too....

I only had 25g fat in my diet daily, so i figured I needed to up my fats first for hormonal and anabolic purposes.

    yay/ nay?

LOL... Well low fat high carbs was working for Jay as he worked his way up the ranks, as well as Dusty Hanshaw, or Correa.

Chris is kinda a 'yes' man to Dav3 on HMR when they talk nutrition, but he tends to advocate highers carbs, moderate fats with his clients.

Atkins is the poor mans Keto and that was a 90's fad as well, so you could just as easily say that is outdated.

There is more than one way to get from point A to point B, as long as you get there.

Enjoy yourself Saturday and Sunday if you would like and then get right back on your diet Monday. Allow yourself to get back down to or very close to stage weight (rid yourself of all the water retention basically) which should only take a few days. From there you can increase cals say by about 500. Where those cals come from is totally up to you.

I wouldn't think of lowering cardio by just reducing the incline, I would actually keep the incline as it's great for gh release. What I would instead do is cut back on the amount of cardio you were doing (say by half) and roll with that as those cals are increased. Let the body acclimate to the extra cals and when you feel it's time make your next push, reduce a bit of cardio and or add 200 more cals.

it might benefit you greatly, 80 g isnt that high at all as long as you work your way up there i take in about 165 g daily but worked up slowly from my contest diet. i ended my prep at like 90 g of fat so its all relative. especially tho as a natty i think your thinking in the right direction reap the benefits of the fats

    These guys said it.

25g fat is NOTHING in the off season even if you are doing high-moderate carbs, but yes cal dense fats + carbs = easy way to get fat, so as mentioned everything in moderation!

Like they said as a natty you need fats for hormone production, let alone for the building block of muscle cells along with protein.

I might suggest a incremental increase in your fats and adjust your carbs accordingly. 80g starting from the 25g your at now will be a big adjustment even it if it isn't all that much, I bet you will notice it if all other factors stay the same.
Give it a couple weeks then maybe throw in another 10-20g if you aren't getting disproportional fat to muscle gains.

Ya i was thinkign 15g of fat added every week or two, probably two weeks,

once I hit the 80g mark 720cals or 24% of a 3,000kcal diet I will start upping the carbs until i reach 3000 kcals

    thatd put me at
    80g fat-720 kcal
    200gcarbs-1000kcal
    300gprotein-1200 kcal

I have never truly followed a structured offseason plan so its all new to me. Im not opposed to switching to higher carbs or higher fats if need be, I JUST NEED GAINS

what you propose could potentially work your just going to need to play it week by week. my one piece of advice is if youve been gaining weight with whatever your calories are dont add more calories on top of that weight till your stalled for like a week. as a natty thats an easy way to get fat.

Jason, do you have contest pics of the condition you brought to the stage?

What was your diet like 4 weeks out? Macro breakdown?

I made an article about contest rebound but its very laymans 101 and outdated IMO

I did read aboult half of the MD thread and caught the part about natty offseason, i agree we cant bulk lik eother guys, im leaning toward adding fat as i feel carbs are not always my friend. but I do want to get carbs back to 300 eventually as well, but fats for hormones are my first priority.

I will swap cardio on incline for car pushes as soon as I hit one month after my show to get some Kcals back in me and see if the car pushes being lesss time are maybe less of a caloric catabolic method than walking up hill. (experiment time)

no cardio leg day, which is why cardio will go from 5days a week to 2-3
