Overtraining
Just got back from the doctor and from getting my blood work, I recently went because I was feeling nauseousness and head achy..... my blood work was perfect but one thing was off and he told me it was from over training he said I had something with a weird name I forgot it (rum-something)..... My question is everyone here says over-training is a myth.... I am a life time natty, I eat low carbs year round to stay lean my metob sucks so I prolly eat what you guys eat to diet down.... my question is how the hell do you push yourself hard but still not over train....

You're metabolism sucks probably because you are under-eating and malnourished, carbs fuel training sessions so it's pretty crazy your doing it without them. You pretty much answered your own question with it just add in some carbs, worry about contest dieting when your getting ready for a contest man!

Even us competitors dont stay on a low carb diet year round! Its just not smart or safe! Studies have shown men and women who are malnourished or undereating to stay at an ideal weight are 30% more likely to end up with vitamin and mineral deficiens, liver toxicity, loss of bone mass, slowed thyroid hormone production, interupted reproductive bealth, and increased symptoms of depression and anxiety, or even develop an eating disorder!
I get many clients who are on the p90x or insanity diets and training and they are indeed overtraining most the time but they are not taking the time to educate themselves on the "healthy" approach to training and living a bodbybuilder lifestyle.
Im also a natural competitor and thank goodness for genetics I can build, but I have to eat and eat what my body responds to best for the physique I am trying to achieve.
Another suggestion is to slowly incorporate slow digesting carbohydrates and low glycemic fruits to your meals. Hug them around your workouts so that they are bein utilized to help you fuel, repair, grow and recover! Then you also might want to look into your the blood work a little more. Did your doctor perform a full blood panel? Mineral defencies checked? Thyroid hormones checked? Liver panel? Glucose tolerance? Hormones?
All these are going to be at least 5 different tubes if i can remember correctly from my days as a corpsman in the Navy ;-) if he only did a couple or three, then its likely he ran your lipid panel (cholesterol), CBC ( complete blood count) and liver panels. Unless covered By insurance or the doctor has significant reason (mostly meaning you've stressed how important it is)to need to run the test they wont just run all test for the sake of it because of the expenses.
I would also ask for Vitamin D ranges as I noticed mine were significantly low this year when I was prepping for a show. I had similar symptoms of nausea and fatigued and with an otc recommendation I am feeling much better.
Let me know if I can help any further. Good luck to you!
