I always do. It is the smarter thing to do.

I always do. And for those of you who are weighing the risks and trying to decide if it's worth the trouble, over the years and hundreds of shots, I've drawn blood back into the syringe a total of 3 times and simply pulled out and found another spot. So thats less than 1% of the time that I was in a blood vessel. The choice is yours but I feel better safe than sorry.

the real issue is weather or not you know where to inject. for some reason most dont care to learn whats under the skin they are pinning. If that is you then aspirate. if you do understand where your injection sites are away from major vessels, nerves, etc you are good. i did multiple daily injections for years. never had a problem. ive also never noticed docs or nurses aspirating on me. maybe some of them did i dont know. i know some medical staff feel it should be done while others dont.

I always use the upper/outer portion of the glute after researching and seeing a chart where each glute was divided into 4 potrions by drawing a cross on it. Never had a problem (infection, abcess, etc). But you're right Joe. Once I tried going lower and that was one of the 3 times I saw blood when I aspirated so ya gotta know what you're doing.

I never did. Causes one to move leaving more scar tissue.

why would you take the risk in not doing? It makes sense to eliminate any risk IMO
