^^ Agreed 100%.
About half-way through, you turned it into more of a romanian dead and was using a lot more hams than you needed to.
I don't know anything about sumo so I will leave it alone.

Honesty, I wouldn't necessarily use my videos as a form check as they were max effort lifts and I was focused solely on completing the lift injury-free. I do echo the ideas that its a good practice to sit down and back and keep the bar essentially riding your shins the whole way up if possible.

About how far down to you sit down/back?
Thanks a ton for the help ill take anything i can get.
Any tips to help break the RDL/SLDL form on the way up?
I foam roll all the time and am very flexible so i know that is not the issue.
No. You will see as it unfolds.
I used the mark rippletoe video for setting up keeping the bar right across the middle of your foot and bending down, bending your knees, pushing your cheset up and shoulders back to start. Should i push my butt back further ? My glutes and lower back were pretty tense

The only tips I can think of is just to imagine you are trying to pick up your toes and keep your ass down.
I am not a form guy, hopefully someone else can chime in.

If Iu can squat ur butt down lower...my form is no where near perfect but, I squat down further and the bar pretty much rides my chins on the way up

Lower your ass, pinch your scapulas like you are trying to bring them together. Pick a spot slightly higher than your head and look at it the whole time to keep the scapula retracted and natural round to lower back. At end of move you should be mimicking thrusting as if your having sex.

It does not get any better than this
head up, chest up, pinch your back and sit down and pull.
Time to put in work.
I will keep the videos coming, because Deadlift is a MAJOR weakness and my weakest lift by far. Perfecting this may be the key to bringing up my physique and lagging back. Thanks again.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year
