I can believe it. I've seen nuts especially and nut butters that are years old.

For kicks, next time you stop off in a "last chance" kind of gas station in the middle of nowhere on a long trip, take a look at the expiration dates on some of the nuts and nut blends they have there - the ones that aren't position for max visibility or aren't super spiced up nut blends (i.e., that don't get bought as much). Talk about rancid oils... LOL

lol yep I have seen that a time or two. I am always skeptical of buying a marked down nut butter product. There is a good chance it could be rancid.

I dont know I got like ten jars of blue diamond almond butter one time from this premium grocer(retails for like $7 was on sale for $2)- the store was closing the brand out, nothing wrong with them was definitely a good deal. still have a few i think.

Were they expired or close to expiration though? Or were they just not going to be selling the products anymore? Either way that is an excellent price.

Haven't tried Power Butter - PB2 definitely and "natural" PB, but if a better option out there for the offseason - def gonna check this out as well! D4 - You "may" be just as guilty - seems you are in all the PB threads as well!! LOL Thanks for the info!!!
