Way more so in track cyclists than road cyclists. Endurance is not ass important as the ability to generate power.

Even the upper body on some of these guys is impressive, given the nature of their sport . Two pics up, the guy with grey shorts looks more like a wrestler than a cyclist .

If my math is right 215kg would be 215 x 2... 430 plus 43 = 473 lbs. for nine! BAM!

I'm surprised no one has said this yet, but he's got better quads than ALOT Of professional bodybuilders. And he's just a cyclist. In fact every one of those guys a few pics down have better legs than I'd say half of the guys on the amateur circuit. I figured out what I need to do now for legs.. I guess this is proof you really CAN'T get around not squatting for huge legs.
