hey, ladies---has anyone tried the product ANABOLIC PUMP (AP) by usp labs-?? it's supposed to help block carbs, or help your body burn carbs for energy or something--you take it before having a carb-ladon meal and it lessens the effects of carbs on your physique...? i read some reviews saying it was good to use while cutting, or during off season "bulking" to put on muscle w/o gaining the fat...comments-?? experiences???

Taking a look at the proprietary blend:
Phellodendron hcl- might reduce redness and swelling (inflammation). Another chemical, berberine, might be able to lower blood sugar and “bad” LDLcholesterol as well as protect the liver against toxic materials
Lagerstromemia speciosa- medical applications that include blood pressure control, urinary dysfunctions (helps ease urination), cholesterol level control, treatment of diarrhea, facilitates bowel movement, diabetes and as an analgesic. Also used to decrease blood sugar levels.
Cissus quadrangularis- a well known NSAID alternative and popular amongst elite athletes and people who suffer from osteo arthritis symptoms such as swelling and pain. The herb is said assist in weight management, but there are no supportive studies that give more detail as to "how" it is able to do such. Whether it is helping to metabolize glucose and/or fats, or if it supports adrenal function. Both of which we know will aid in weightloss, but as for this herb in particular, it was not in descriptive thesis.

Not sure if any of this helps you to make a decision or give you a better idea of what you are actually paying for...but by the looks of this blend it's a bunch of exotic ingredients that aren't widely used, but are still rather affordable for use in supplementation. I would stick with tried, tested, and true...chitosan, white kidney bean extract, and garcina cambogia...the first two help to block unnecessary carbs in the users diet, and the last one helps the body to metabolize fats. If you would like to stabilize blood sugar and also decrease your overall cravings for sweets and carbs alike, try gymnema sylvestre...it is a very potent carb deterrent for those who are dieting as it makes you more sensitive to the taste of sweets, causing you to eat less and eventually stop cravings all together. Of course buying these all separately might be a little more pricey, but for those who are allergic to shellfish it makes for a great alternative to chitosan.
