LOL yeah there's a few hills but not many. Ocala and Clermont is "horse country". Lots of rich horse lovin' people there and there's tons of nice hills and lakes, but those are just about the only two spots in the entire state with anything that resemble a hill.

I also grew up on Long Island and have been Boca and this area for 10 years now . Once you get past the pill head spoiled teens and grown men it is a great place to live . Lots of NYers here.. It's like a cleaner Long Island with better weather .
Bodybuilders are spread throughout south Fl .. It does seem like the quality of competitors at South FL contests has gone down since I've been here , however .
Bodybuilding on Long Island in the 80's and 90's was pretty close to as good as it gets .. Some great physiques . JH34pg, If you trained in the 90's or earlier I know what you mean ..Last edited by KTTraining; 08-26-2012 at 01:07 AM.

Woooah how is Tallahasseee NOT a shithole?? Lol! I was there for college and it was the shitiest place ive ever lived..plus only a handful of competitors in the entire city. Frenchtown was just extra shitty because thats where all the whores and crack dealers hung out..not my scene. Florida east coast (specifically south) wins everytime

Weather alone is a reason not to want to live in south florida unless you want 88 degrees on New Years Eve. I'd prefer some change of season, none of the 18'' of snow Dave gets in the winter, but not a sweat box that south florida is year round.
Tallahassee for college is the best, college football games, tailgating, walking distance (or a 3 minute drive) to most bars/clubs, great hole in the wall restuarants...it's shit if you live near campus, but if people would leave the cocoon of Pensacola/Ocala st they would find nicer areas. Now working and living in Tallahassee post college is not ideal. You don't wanna be "that guy" who's still doing the same stuff as a 21 year old and you're 35.
Weather aside, south florida would be better if they booted all the illegals and make English the 1st language.

A few points Id like to make...
Ive lived here for almost 9 years now...the first few years its great...weather is usually nice, no slow to shovel. Now 9 years in, I am SICK of the HEAT. ALWAYS hot, second you leave your house, you are sweating. Second you go into the car, have to turn the AC on full blast. People comment on the weather, but generally those people only have experience with the weather based off of VACATION.
The beach is the only positive I have from South Florida, so accessible and usually clean, except south beach
Food, unless your in love with Latin food, sucks. All commercialized. Cant find good Italian food, can't find a good bagel or good pizza.
I miss the diversity of NYC. In Miami, your either Black, White or Cuban.
All we have here are LA Fitness' that are filled by high school kids who treat the gyms like crap
Miami is very expensive to try and eat right. Go to a healthy place and your paying 10 bucks for a chicken wrap that barely has chicken in it.
I have realized over the time that many supplement companies have their HQ here in SF, so If your in the industry, I'm sure its great for you guys

Boca (South Florida) is definitely not a place to live during summer time, you get sick from the heat and humidity and never mention the old old people..

It WAS fun for college! Great college town..but once I wasn't in school anymore, i couldnt Wait to get out of there. I've had my love/hate relationship with Boca and south florida, especially because Im from here...the truth is you're gonna find good and bad things about anywhere you are, its just a matter of what YOU find tolerable/intolerable. To be honest, I just started liking Boca again and I think a lot has to do with how happy Aaron is here...it's nice that he loves where I'm from so much, and that makes me like it even more

one of my best friends lived in boca and we would travel up there to hang out...its def a nice area, just too much for the elderly. great retirement location and the scenery is nice. i think its a place you def need to have money to enjoy.
anyone remember in seinfeld...Jerrys parents would go to Boca Vista
my sister went to FSU, she loved it due to the history and sports passion. other than that she said theres nothing to do at FSU besides party and get drunk

I love the cost of living in florida and the amount of opportunity because seems a lot of stuff is based here...but that's really about it....everything else is horrible.
