Cardio: HIIT vs. LSD?
HIIT seems the rage for the increase in EPOC. And true it is the best bang for the time limited. However it burns far more glycogen which may also lead to using amino-acids as well.
Long Slow distance (LSD) would appear to burn more fat and spare muscle.
So bottom line is if you have more time (>45 min to 1 hr) do LSD, otherwise HIIT?

Full out sprints are a great way to tear a hamstring or get injured.

If you are a no hormone type of guy, as you get older those long slow walks are going to become longer and longer...

I'd say both, throw sprints into the cardio routines her and there..basically run dont walk.
