Competition color
Just wanted to see what some of you guys have used in the past that worked for you. I've used 1 coat of pro tan and 1 coat of dream tan and it came out looking great but the dream tan is messy as hell.

Liquid Sunrayz if they will be at your comp - absolutely CAN NOT beat them IMO !!! - www.liquidsunrayz.com

I get sprayed and I also add several coats of Pro-Tan. When you think you look dark enough, add more coats! You cannot be too dark.

Liquid Sun Rayz I used for the first time at my recent show. I use to do similar to what you did with the protan and dream tan, but LSR is the way to go. I applied myself. I didn't like the roller they gave, so I used a pad like the ones from Jan Tana.
Hopes this helps.

i ahve to concur with this. although jan tanas not bad liquid sunrayz is truly superior. I havent had good experiences with pro tan on myself or my clients. and npc judges dont like dream tan but if your competing in another organization that observation is irrelevant

At the Masters I got sprayed 2 coats of Jan Tana ProTan. My skin didn't absorb it. After the first coat was sprayed I had to stand in front of the fans for almost an hour (average time is about 15 minutes) then then girl who (yes Girl sprayed me) came up to me and asked me if it was ok that the Bikini women come in and get sprayed since I wasn't dry and to make sure I wasn't shy standing there butt naked in front of fans blowing on me. lol. Good thing it was tired. We were all good sports but there was some beautiful women there from top to bottom!
But I digress.....After 2nd coat was sprayed I looked great but by the time prejudging was half over under the lights it began to run and I turned a shade of chalky green (shit brown). Jan Tana herself tried to fix everything before the night show but she told me that my skin was very unusual and I needed to have a good base tan first and use lots of moisturizers before attempting to spray me again. Fortunately the judging had been deciding at prejudging but I looked like a spotted midget green martian at the night show....All good.

In the past I have used ProTan and Jan Tana. Both were self applied and as good as ProTan was, I just hated how many coats had to be applied before getting the right color for stage. Even with a based tan. Jan Tana was blotchy on my skin.
Liquid Sun Rayz has tanned me since 2010 and I cannot speak enough on their color. All I need is ONE coat and a top coat in the morning of my show! Seriously! Any more than that then I am way too dark! And I can even shower the in the morning! How heavenly that is to shower is sooo awesome! Next year LSR will be the show tanner for a few of the nationals shows.
