This commercial is prob old, but a Planet Fitness just showed up here in Omaha and I recently saw a commercial .. Embarrassing that this is what the public and most gym goers think of BBers ..

Mike Pulcinella's classic rebuttal of the anti-bodybuilding Planet Fitness commercials.

I doubt they'd get very far in the door. Branch said some friends of his invited him to work out at their gym, & when he arrived, it became very clear the owners of the gym didn't want him there. He said he left without working out.

Do you think Planet Fitness tries to be as offensive as possible just to get attention, or are they just scumbags?

I guess the planet fitness guys exaclty know what they're doing and how we, the serious athletes, would react on the concept. They simply knew this is a money making machine. Funny videos though.

It's a truism of advertising that a lot of ads operate at an unconscious or subliminal level. It's possible that psychologists have advised PF on different levels on which such an ad can have impact. The bottom line is they're trying to steer certain people to PF by steering others away. I'm still offended by these ads, though.
