    I may have brought a leg extension machine for my home gym. They're replacing the current one (the one I've been using) with a new(er) model. They asked, I offered, they agreed so... And in other news:

    Close Grip Bench Press
    to 142.5-kilos x 4 x 1 reps (each rep got better than the last one)

    Lat Pulldowns
    to stack +5 plates x 8 reps

    DOTBDLTL
    to 200-kilos x 1 rep (missed an attempt at 210kg). Back on plan the next workout

    Rolling Thunder Handle
    to +160-kilos x 1 rep BH (missed +180-kilos x BH). Lisa went to +110-kilos. The handle is VERY stiff.

    Just being strong does. In my early comps I noticed a few of the lighter competitors just weren't strong full stop. They liked having a strong grip (so they can feel special etc) but missed a trick, IMO, by not actually being strong over all

    Agreed. The body's musculature works cooperatively. The lower body helps the upper body do what it needs to. When gripping occurs, the lower body must balance & support the upper body. I can see that now.

    Neither. However, I havem't had to pay for six months. I came in one day and put my money down and it was pushed back. I get given gym clothing to wear and so on. My thick bar is the one at the gym and my Millennium Dumbbell has been left there years. If I go compete I make sure to include a photo with a gym shirt on and so on.

    These past two weeks or so I pointed out that the owner needed to spend 5-10 minutes a day on social media (so far just Facebook). When the new clothing arrived (I'd already been given the test sample to wear) I got him to work with me for a few minutes taking photos. 40+ likes in under 50 minutes and six sales over night lol. It was 8 sales when I came in and 10 by the time I left. I took a photo of a member, Corey Brown, who'd lost 48lbs and we put that online. The owner ended up writing 4 diet plans that morning.

    Yesterday I said 'what do you want to sell off in the supplements section?'. So we polished a few tubs so they looked nice, found a nicely lit spot and took some 'sexy' photos. All too often they just get piled up. Cars, on the other hand, are shined and then driven on an empty road etc etc.

    Last week I had the photo of me doing a lat spread in the t-shirt alongside one of the owner. He had a gym hoody on and I had him stand on the counter with me a little lower taking the shot (two more gym logos in view - so three, with the hoody, visble). 120+ likes in an hour.

    Hence I get to train for free ha ha. I'm buying the leg extension for my home gym when the new one arrives for the gym proper.
